To use a GTA: Vice City cheat on PC, type its code directly during unpaused gameplay. You do not need a developer console or a separate command window. Before entering anything, make a manual save in a separate slot: cheats can disrupt missions, permanently affect some saves, and current guides warn that cheats disable achievements in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
The two PC versions do not have exactly the same cheat list. The tables below separate the original classic PC release from the Definitive Edition, identify the five classic codes removed from the remaster, and include the four PC codes associated with the Definitive Edition.
Choose your PC version first
There are two relevant PC releases:

Counting cheats is not entirely standardized: some lists combine platform variants or omit codes. The practical count used here is an editorial reconciliation of the published PC tables: 58 classic PC entries and 57 currently relevant PC entries across both versions. It is not an official total published by Rockstar.
How to enter GTA Vice City cheats on PC
- Identify your edition. Use the shared table for either version, the Definitive Edition section for remaster-only codes, and the classic-only section only if you are playing the original PC release.
- Make a manual save in a separate slot. Do this before entering your first code, especially if you care about story progression, completion statistics, or achievements.
- Load active gameplay. For the most reliable results, Tommy should be in ordinary free roam, the game should be unpaused, and you should be outside a cutscene, menu, mission start, or mission transition.
- Type the letters exactly as shown. Codes are generally accepted in uppercase or lowercase. Do not add spaces.
- Do not normally press Enter. The game should recognize the code automatically while you type it.
- Look for confirmation. A notification or confirmation sound should indicate that the cheat registered.
- Return to the clean save if necessary. Some effects can be toggled by entering the same code again, but not every cheat can be safely canceled.
Some references say that PC cheats can be entered from the pause menu, while others recommend active gameplay. Because the sources disagree and unpaused gameplay works as the safest common procedure, use the unpaused method above.

If a code does not activate
- Click the game window first so it has keyboard focus.
- Confirm that the game is not paused and that Tommy is not in a cutscene or mission transition.
- Type at a steady pace. Avoid pasting a long phrase or leaving long pauses between letters.
- Check the spelling carefully, particularly for long codes such as
OURGODGIVENRIGHTTOBEARARMSandIDONTHAVETHEMONEYSONNY. - Test a short, known code such as
ASPIRINE. - If you are playing the Definitive Edition, check that the code is not one of the five classic entries removed from that version.
- If the code activated but created an unwanted effect, reload the manual save made before using it.

Weapon contents
THUGSTOOLS gives brass knuckles, a flamethrower, baseball bat, Molotov cocktails, pistol, Tec-9, Kruger, shotgun, and sniper rifle.
PROFESSIONALTOOLS gives a rocket launcher, katana, remote grenades, .357, Mac, M4, Stubby Shotgun, and .308 sniper.
NUTTERTOOLS gives a minigun, chainsaw, grenades, .357, MP, M4, SPAS-12, and .308 sniper.
These weapon-set codes provide weapons and ammunition; they are not a separate unlimited-ammo cheat.

These codes change Tommy’s character model; they do not create a new campaign or permanently replace the story character. Missions and cutscenes can produce inconsistent visual results, so use skin codes on a disposable save.

These effects are not interchangeable: SEAWAYS lets cars travel over water, COMEFLYWITHME makes vehicles fly, and AIRSHIP affects boats. GRIPISEVERYTHING changes handling rather than merely changing a vehicle’s appearance and can interfere with Unique Stunt Jump attempts. LOADSOFLITTLETHINGS is the big-wheel/performance code; it is different from WHEELSAREALLINEED, which was removed from the Definitive Edition.

A spawned vehicle may appear at a nearby valid road or vehicle node rather than directly in front of Tommy. Stand in an open area, away from walls, mission markers, and crowded traffic lanes. If nothing appears immediately, look nearby before assuming the code failed.

Guides use slightly different labels for the cloudy weather states, but the five codes are consistent.
Definitive Edition-only PC cheats
The four entries below are associated with the PC Definitive Edition list and should not be assumed to work in the classic release. They are kept separate because many older lists omit them or show only the controller version of Big Head Mode. The PC text codes are documented in the GTABase Definitive Edition reference and cross-checked against launch-era Definitive Edition cheat documentation.

Important: ASPIRINE only restores health, even in the Definitive Edition. It is not invincibility. The separate invincibility entry is YOUCANTLEAVEMEALONE, which is listed as a Definitive Edition PC addition.
Classic PC cheats removed from the Definitive Edition
These five codes work in the original classic PC release but are commonly listed as removed or not working in the Definitive Edition. They are not simply mistyped versions of active remaster cheats. Current coverage has attributed some omissions to technical reasons, based on reported comments from producer Rich Rosado; Rockstar has not published a complete Vice City-specific explanation for every removed code. In particular, do not confuse WHEELSAREALLINEED with the shared LOADSOFLITTLETHINGS code. The former is classic-only; the latter remains the big-wheel/performance entry in both versions.
Fake, missing, and commonly requested cheats
There is no verified built-in money cheat
No verified built-in money code appears in the established Vice City PC lists. Codes such as FULLCITYPEOPLEMINES, sometimes described online as a buy-all-properties or money cheat, are not verified working Vice City cheats. You may also see FREEWAYFORANGELJOY described as a motorcycle-spawn code; it is likewise reported as fake or non-working. Do not save time testing either phrase. For legitimate money, use missions, assets, side activities, and ordinary gameplay. The GTABase list identifies these commonly circulated false entries.

THUGSTOOLS, PROFESSIONALTOOLS, and NUTTERTOOLS provide weapon sets and ammunition, but the established Vice City PC list does not contain a separate unlimited-ammo cheat. Calling those codes unlimited ammo is misleading.

There is no jetpack cheat or jetpack item
Vice City has no verified jetpack code and no jetpack item in its normal game content. Vehicle cheats should also be kept distinct: AIRSHIP makes boats fly, COMEFLYWITHME makes vehicles fly, FLYINGWAYS spawns a Skimmer in the Definitive Edition, and AMERICAHELICOPTER spawns a Hunter attack helicopter in that version.
Do cheats disable achievements or break saves?
Classic PC release
Cheat behavior is less uniform in the original version:
- Many classic guides report that using cheats reduces criminal rating by 1,000 points.
- Some effects toggle when the same code is entered again.
- Other effects require a restart or a previous save to remove.
NOBODYLIKESMEandFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTare the major exceptions: references describe their pedestrian behavior as effectively permanent for the active save if you save while they are enabled.GRIPISEVERYTHINGcan disable or interfere with Unique Stunt Jumps, making it a poor choice on a completion save.
The safest classic-version setup is one clean save for story and completion progress and one separate save for cheats.
Definitive Edition
The remaster supports achievements on PC, and current guides warn that activating cheats disables achievements or trophies for the affected save or playthrough. Rockstar’s public launch material confirms the inclusion of achievements, but does not provide a complete Vice City-specific explanation of every cheat and save rule. Treat the warning conservatively:
- Create a clean manual save before entering any code.
- Use cheats only on a separate save if you want to preserve achievement eligibility.
- Do not assume that entering a code again restores achievement eligibility.
- Reload the pre-cheat save when you want to return to a progression-safe state.
- Remember that a cheat can interfere with mission scripts even when achievements are not important.
Cheats can often be used during ordinary gameplay, but missions are a bad testing environment. A code may alter NPC behavior, vehicle placement, wanted levels, or mission scripting. Use free roam unless you are deliberately experimenting and are prepared to reload.

How to undo a cheat
- Try entering the same code again if it is a known toggle, such as some weather, traffic, vehicle, or appearance effects.
- Restart the game or reload if re-entry does not clearly remove the effect.
- Use the clean save for pedestrian hostility, riots, unwanted mission changes, achievement concerns, or any uncertain result.
Do not assume every cheat has an off switch. The pedestrian hostility and riot codes, NOBODYLIKESME and FIGHTFIGHTFIGHT, are the important exceptions that should be treated as non-reversible on the active saved game. Re-entering a code is also not a reliable way to restore Definitive Edition achievement eligibility.

That is expected: it restores health. The invincibility code listed for PC is the Definitive Edition-only YOUCANTLEAVEMEALONE. |
Source and version notes
This guide separates the original PC list from the Definitive Edition rather than combining classic, console, mobile, and remaster entries. The code inventory and version differences were reconciled using GTABase, GameFAQs, GamesRadar, and PC Gamer. Counts can differ between guides because platform combinations and edition-specific additions are not always counted the same way.

Is ASPIRINE an unlimited-health or invincibility cheat?
No. ASPIRINE restores Tommy’s health and repairs the vehicle he is driving. It does not provide invincibility. The separate invincibility code listed for the PC Definitive Edition is YOUCANTLEAVEMEALONE.
Can I enter GTA Vice City cheats while paused or during a mission?
Some references say PC codes work from the pause menu, but guidance differs. The safest method is to type them during unpaused free roam. Codes may work during a mission, but they can disrupt mission scripts, NPC behavior, or vehicle placement, so use a disposable save.
Can every cheat be turned off by entering it again?
