Yes—GuliKit announced an aftermarket TMR joystick module for both the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. It is a replacement part, not proof that those handhelds ship with TMR sticks: GuliKit says the original Ally models use carbon-film potentiometer joysticks. The company describes its module as an anti-drift upgrade, but independent long-term durability or drift testing is not established by the available sources.
What GuliKit announced
On December 20, 2025, GuliKit announced TMR electromagnetic joystick modules intended as upgrade and repair replacements for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. Its announcement said the modules would be available globally through GuliKit’s official Amazon storefronts from that date. That was the company’s stated distribution plan; it does not establish current regional stock, price, or listing availability.
GuliKit’s product page also describes the modules as compatible with the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. Check the live listing and exact model compatibility before purchasing, since availability can vary by region.
Do the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X have Hall effect or TMR sticks?
GuliKit characterizes the original joysticks in both named Ally models as carbon-film potentiometers. The module it announced uses TMR, or tunnel magnetoresistance, sensing. So the distinction is between the stock potentiometer sticks and a separately purchased TMR replacement—not a universal factory feature of the Ally lineup.

Xbox Wire announced the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X launch for October 16, 2025. In that announcement, Roanne Sones, CVP Gaming Devices and Ecosystem at Xbox, wrote: “Together with ASUS, we are launching the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X on October 16.” The launch date does not change the distinction between stock hardware and GuliKit’s later aftermarket module.
Does the TMR replacement prevent stick drift?
GuliKit positions the TMR module as a way to address wear and drift. That is a manufacturer claim, not a demonstrated guarantee: the available sources provide no independent long-term durability test, failure-rate data, controlled comparison with the stock sticks, or supported lifespan figure. TMR is the sensor technology; it should not be read as proof that drift is impossible.

How does the aftermarket module differ from the Ally X20 announcement?
These are separate developments. The December 2025 announcement concerns replacement modules for the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. On June 4, 2026, GuliKit separately announced that its TMR joystick technology was featured in the ROG Xbox Ally X20. That later manufacturer announcement is about the X20 and does not establish that every ROG Xbox Ally or Ally X has factory-installed TMR sticks.
