The GUNDAM CARD GAME launched in July 2025, so the original launch preorder is no longer a current offer. Bandai Namco described the rollout as simultaneous worldwide in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese, but that does not mean every country had the same retail date, stock, or preorder access. For products available now, check Bandai’s official English product catalog and confirm language and local availability with a seller.
When did the Gundam Card Game launch?
Bandai Namco Holdings reports that the GUNDAM CARD GAME launched in July 2025. It describes the release as the first BANDAI CARD GAMES title to roll out simultaneously worldwide in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese. That is the company’s description of the rollout, not confirmation that products reached every market on the same day or were equally available everywhere. A beta version, Limited Box Ver.β, launched in December 2024, before the official release. Bandai Namco Holdings’ 2025 Integrated Report
What kind of game is it?
It is a physical trading card game in which players battle using cards featuring mobile suits and pilots from the Gundam series. Bandai Namco also describes a collaboration with GUNDAM ASSEMBLE: approximately 5 cm Gundam models can be placed on the board as part of the battle experience. The report describes the collaboration but does not establish that a model is included with every game product. Bandai Namco Holdings’ 2025 Integrated Report
What products can players look for?
Starter decks
Starter decks are the clearest entry point in the official English catalog. It lists a continuing product line, including starter decks with release dates as late as September 26, 2026. Check the specific listing for its language and release details, then verify stock with a local seller; a catalog listing does not establish that a product is currently in stock in your country. #1 Best Overall
- Four new starter decks are here! The theme is “Combat Style"! A green and red starter deck featuring numerous MS units skilled in combat using bits/funnels, including the “Qubeley”. Features numerous cards usable in multiplayer battles (Battle Royale, 2vs2)!
Booster packs
Booster packs are the other supported product path, especially for players adding cards to an existing collection. In a March 21, 2025 announcement, Bandai planned the first booster pack for July, followed by a second in October, and said it planned booster releases every three months. Those statements describe plans at the time, not a verified current schedule for every region. Check the live catalog or a local seller for the particular release you want. Accessories
The official catalog also includes an accessories category. One listing on catalog page 4 is the Official Playmat and Card Set Athrun & Cagalli [EVX11]. Confirm its current listing and availability before purchasing; the catalog result does not establish current stock. GUNDAM CARD GAME official product catalog, page 4

What was planned for the 2025 release?
Bandai’s March 21, 2025 schedule is useful as a snapshot of the announced plan, but it should not be treated as a definitive record of every final street date. The announcement said the first four starter-deck types and first booster pack were planned for July 2025, with additional starter decks and a second booster scheduled for September and October. Bandai noted that information could change. Bandai’s March 21, 2025 product schedule announcement
How to find products available in your region
- Open the official English product catalog and identify the product or category you want.
- Check the product’s language and release details. Do not assume the worldwide rollout means every edition or product is sold in every country.
- Ask a local seller about current stock and local release availability. The official sources do not establish present inventory by country.
Is there still a worldwide preorder?
No current, open launch preorder is established by the cited official sources. The worldwide preorder framing is historical: the company reports a July 2025 launch, and its catalog now lists products released after that launch. For a current purchase, verify the specific item, language, and availability in your market rather than relying on old preorder coverage.
