When did Off The Grid launch?
The answer depends on which milestone you mean. Gunzilla says Early Access began in 2024 and that the game was fully playable in that state. Steam lists July 17, 2025 as the PC storefront release date. Those dates describe separate events: the earlier Early Access debut and the later arrival on Steam.

Gunzilla’s May 21, 2025 announcement forecast a June Steam release, but the eventual Steam listing and the studio’s July 17 announcement establish the date that took place. The studio’s FAQ, consulted October 8, 2026, says a full release is planned for October 2026. Because that month is underway, check the official FAQ for any updated status rather than treating the planned date as a completed release.
What is Off The Grid?
Gunzilla describes Off The Grid as a free-to-play, cyberpunk-themed battle royale. Its official game page highlights cybernetic limb swaps, jetpack movement, weapon customization, extraction and a narrative campaign. Steam lists online player-versus-player, online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, as well as in-app purchases.

The Steam description has also advertised a 60-hour narrative campaign as coming later. That is a storefront claim about planned content, not evidence that the campaign is currently available; check the live listing for its status.

Availability can differ by storefront, region or service, so consult the relevant platform listing if you need to confirm access. Gunzilla’s Steam-launch announcement described cross-play across PC, Xbox and PlayStation; Steam also lists cross-platform multiplayer.
Is Off The Grid an NFT game?
Gunzilla’s FAQ says the NFT element is optional and that the battle royale can be played without it. The studio’s wording is: “Off The Grid is not an NFT game. It’s a battle royale game with an optional NFT element.” That is the developer’s characterization. The official GUNZ website provides information about optional blockchain and NFT participation.
