Hades II first arrived in PC Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 6, 2024. That phase is over: Supergiant Games released version 1.0 on September 25, 2025. The game is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
When did Hades II leave Early Access?
Supergiant Games ended Early Access with the version 1.0 launch on September 25, 2025. The studio described that release as the completion of the game’s Early Access development. Early Access began on May 6, 2024, on Steam and the Epic Games Store. At the time, Supergiant described the release as a work in progress and said player feedback would help the team realize the game’s potential. Is there a physical edition?
A physical retail edition for Nintendo Switch 2 launched on November 20, 2025. Its game card also works on the original Nintendo Switch. Supergiant says the package includes a full-color, 32-page Character Compendium, a reversible cover slip, and a code to download the Original Soundtrack. What changed between Early Access and version 1.0?
The 1.0 release completed the game rather than continuing the original Early Access phase. Supergiant’s announcement points to the true ending, more character events and music, prophecies, late-game unlockables, and additional finishing touches as part of that release. Version 1.0 announcement

Is official Hades II merchandise available?
Supergiant announced official merchandise in collaboration with Fangamer, including a Frinos plush, a Melinoë poster, and a Nectar ornament.
