The wording mattered: it did not mean support or all future content would stop, and Halo Support later listed a Firefight: Gauntlet update for May 5, 2026.
When did Halo Infinite’s last major update arrive?
Operation: Infinite launched November 18, 2025. In its official announcement, Halo Studios said: “While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.” That was a statement about the studio’s plan at the time—not a promise that the game would receive no more updates or support.
What did Operation: Infinite add?
Faster multiplayer progression
The update doubled multiplayer Career Rank progression across playlists. It also doubled Spartan Point (SP) rewards for eligible challenges, according to the official patch notes:
- The first Daily Challenge reward increased from 250 to 500 SP.
- Daily Challenges three through 50 increased from 100 to 200 SP each.
- The Weekly Ultimate Challenge increased from 1,000 to 2,000 SP.
The second Daily Challenge remained a 500 XP reward; it did not become a Spartan Point reward.

Two 100-tier Operation Passes
Operation: Infinite introduced a free 100-tier pass and a premium 100-tier pass. Halo Studios said neither pass had a planned expiration date. The Halo Infinite feature page describes the reward split:
| Pass | Access | Armor sets | Other stated benefits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Operation Pass | Free | Three | 100 tiers |
| Premium Operation Pass | Premium | Five additional sets | 100 tiers; permanent bonus XP and an additional Challenge slot for holders |
Together, the passes offered eight earnable armor sets. Halo Studios’ announcement also said the premium pass added five sets to the three available through the free pass.

Exchange items, ranked play, and Forge maps
The update brought 200 previously unreleased customizations to The Exchange. It also introduced new Ranked Seasons and community-made Forge maps. The patch notes published a ranked rotational playlist schedule, but warned that it was subject to change; consult the current official schedule rather than relying on old dates.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Did Halo Infinite stop getting content afterward?
No. Halo Studios’ roadmap said rotating Daily and Weekly Challenges, ranked seasons and rewards, and community events would continue after Operation: Infinite. Halo Support subsequently listed Firefight: Gauntlet Update – May 5, 2026, describing a new Firefight mode and featured rotational playlist. That later update shows why “last major content update currently planned” should not be read as “no content ever again.”
