No confirmed release window for a new Black Myth: Wukong DLC is established by the official and storefront sources checked. A 2025 teaser about the journey continuing was not a date or schedule, and it referred to a future continuation—not a disclosed DLC launch window.
Is a Black Myth: Wukong DLC release window confirmed?
No. Game Science’s official Wukong notice and Steam’s DLC catalog do not confirm a release window for a newly announced expansion. The specific window implied by reports has not been substantiated by those sources, so there is no reliable date to report.

What did Game Science’s “westward journey” teaser mean?
A GamesRadar report on Game Science’s August 2025 announcement of Black Myth: Zhong Kui quoted a line attributed to the official Black Myth: Wukong channel’s reveal-trailer description: “to all friends who love Black Myth: Wukong: the westward journey won’t end here.” The remark points to a possible continuation of the Wukong journey, but it does not name DLC, give a release date, or provide a release window. GamesRadar’s coverage concerns Zhong Kui, a distinct project; its development status should not be treated as a schedule for Wukong DLC.

Steam lists an existing Black Myth: Wukong Deluxe Edition Upgrade with a release date of Aug. 19, 2024, as well as soundtrack selections. These are existing catalog entries, not evidence of a newly dated expansion. The date belongs to the upgrade listing and is not a DLC release date for a future add-on.

Is the PS5 physical game the rumored DLC?
No. Game Science’s official notice discusses the existing game’s editions and physical-disc distribution, including the PS5 base game. That is a physical version of Black Myth: Wukong, not a separate DLC release or confirmation of one.

A confirmed release window should come with an attributable announcement that identifies the content and states when it is expected. A general promise that the story or journey will continue does not establish whether that continuation will be DLC, a separate game, or something else, nor when it will arrive. Until Game Science publishes those specifics, treat any precise window as unverified.
