Haven is a story-led RPG about two lovers making a life together on an unfamiliar planet. Its strongest appeal is the bond between Yu and Kay, supported by atmospheric exploration and music; its main drawback, according to reviewers, is combat that can become repetitive. It also supports local co-op, so a second player can join.
What is Haven about?
Developed by The Game Bakers, Haven follows Yu and Kay, a couple who flee to a lost planet so they can stay together. The game moves between relationship scenes, exploration and RPG combat. Rather than building its story around a relationship that has yet to form, it focuses on an established couple and the everyday texture of their life together. The Game Bakers called it an accessible, relaxing RPG, and creative director Emeric Thoa contrasted its deliberately different experience with the studio’s Furi. The relationship and atmosphere

Combat and navigation
Both reviewers found combat repetitive. Juba also criticized navigation precision, a potential frustration for players who want traversal to feel exact. These are the reviewers’ judgments, not a guarantee that every player will respond the same way; they do identify the main trade-off in the available reviews: the relationship and setting drew praise, while repeated encounters were less successful.

Can you play Haven in co-op?
Yes. The Game Bakers says a second player can join locally at any time, and Game Informer describes the game as local co-op. This is a way to share the adventure on the same setup, not evidence of online multiplayer support. The Game Bakers’ FAQ.
Platforms and release context
The Game Bakers announced Haven for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox One in December 2020, with PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions planned for the first quarter of 2021. Its FAQ lists PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X and One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. What the Couple Update changed
The free Couple Update arrived on March 3, 2022. It added alternate versions of Yu and Kay, including new models, artwork, voices and revised dialogue. The developer says choosing them changes the couple’s presentation, not the story or gameplay. Official patch notes.

A developer blog also references Limited Run editions of the game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, including a collector edition. The FAQ’s earlier statement that the game was digital-only and that collector editions would be explored in 2021 is time-specific, not proof of what is in stock now.
