To find a Heartopia insect, match its listed location with its catching level, time, weather, and any event or seasonal restriction. Then equip your net, approach slowly, and swing when you are in range. TheHeartopia.com’s February 2026 community guide lists 48 insects, but that is a dated fan-guide database—not an official, confirmed total—so check your in-game journal and forecast for current availability.
How to unlock insect catching
TheHeartopia.com’s February 2026 guide says insect catching unlocks at Developer Level 6: claim the Hobby Expansion Ticket, choose Insect Catching, and meet mentor Naniwa to obtain the starter net. A separate Heartopia.app fan guide, updated April 6, 2026, gives a different level and uses different progression terminology. Because these community sources conflict, follow the prompts and requirements shown in your current game rather than treating either level as definitive.
How to catch insects
- Equip your insect net from your inventory or equipment menu.
- Search the target’s listed habitat. Insects may appear on trees, flowers, grass, or near water, depending on the species.
- Approach at a walk. Running can scare insects away, according to TheHeartopia.com’s guide.
- When the range indicator appears, swing the net to attempt the catch.
Traps and attractors are optional in-game mechanics, not real-world equipment. TheHeartopia.com describes craftable traps and an Inflatable Insect Attractor obtained from Naniwa using game currency or a Wishing Star.
How to use an insect location list
Start with the species’ catching-level requirement and named region, then narrow the search to its micro-location. Check the time and weather filters as well: a familiar location can still produce no target if its conditions are wrong. TheHeartopia.com’s February 2026 guide groups its 48 listed insects by catching level and includes weather and time conditions; it is useful as a dated reference, not a guarantee of what is available in every current build.

- Thoughtful design: Each bug bungalow has a circular magnifying glass, allowing children to observe the daily activities of captured animals at close range. - Safe and durable: The kids outdoor toys is mainly made of high-quality plastic, sturdy and durable, not easy to break and crack, safe and has no odor, and is suitable for children aged 3-8 to use with confidence. Stimulate children's spirit of exploration and allow children to continuously improve their cognitive abilities and expand their thinking during play.

- Location: Use the named region and specific habitat rather than searching the whole map.
- Catching level: Check whether your current progression meets the listed requirement.
- Time: Look for a stated time window or an “any time” condition.
- Weather: Check for a specific condition or “any weather.”
- Availability: Note whether the listing is ordinary, event-tagged, or seasonal.
For example, the guide lists European Firebug at Home, on rocks, at any time and in any weather. It lists Amethyst Flower Beetle at Home at any time in rainy or rainbow weather, and Four-Spotted Skimmer at Suburban Lakeshore at any time in rainy or rainbow weather. These are entries in that community guide, not independently confirmed spawn guarantees.
Event and seasonal insects
TheHeartopia.com guide separates event-tagged insects, including Apollo and Postman Butterfly, from its general entries. It also lists five Frostspore butterflies for Winter Frost Season. Seasonal and event availability can change; the guide’s stated January 31–March 13 window does not clearly identify a year. Check the live event information and in-game journal before planning around a date or assuming a target is currently obtainable.

When the target is missing
- Recheck the exact habitat and micro-location in the guide or journal.
- Confirm your catching level meets the listed requirement.
- Check the in-game time and forecast against the species’ filters.
- Verify whether the insect is tied to an active event or season.
- Approach slowly and avoid running near the spawn area.
These checks are more useful than repeatedly searching a broad region. The game’s live journal and forecast should take precedence over a community list that may reflect a different version or event cycle.

TheHeartopia.com’s February 2026 guide says “Showing 48 of 48 insects.” Heartopia.app’s fan database labels its list as 68 species, and its guide differs on unlock progression and some names and locations. Neither source establishes an official complete database, and the lists should not be merged as if their entries were verified against one authoritative catalog. Use one list consistently as a reference and resolve uncertain spawns in the current game.
