Guides do not agree on when insect catching unlocks. Heartopia.app says it becomes available at Dream Guide Level 5. Heartopia.Life’s checklist instead says Developer Level 6 and a Hobby Expansion Ticket. These terms and requirements should not be assumed to refer to the same progression step. Follow the current in-game prompt to confirm what your character needs.
Once available, use the level attached to an insect record as a planning check alongside its location, time, and weather. The sources use terms such as “Dream Guide” and “Developer Level” inconsistently, so retain the terminology of the specific guide rather than converting one label into another.
