What did Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.200 change?
Patch 01.000.200 introduced two new environmental threats—blizzards and sandstorms—and expanded the level cap from 50 to 150. The official Steam announcement is dated April 2, 2024, while Arrowhead’s detailed support page lists May 2, 2024. New planetary hazards
The patch added blizzards and sandstorms to the game’s planetary hazards. The official notes name them but do not detail their gameplay effects or offer specific counterplay advice, so their exact impact should not be inferred from the announcement alone.
Level cap increase
The 2024 patch moved the level cap from 50 to 150. The cap has since changed: Arrowhead’s October 5, 2026 notes for patch 7.0.0 state that it was expanded from 150 to 300, with 15 additional ranks and titles. See Arrowhead’s Devoid of Liberty: 7.0.0 notes.

What else was included in the 2024 update?
The hazards and level-cap change were not the whole patch. Arrowhead’s notes describe balance changes affecting missions, stratagems, weapons, enemies, and Helldivers, alongside general fixes and stability improvements.
- Missions and operations: The notes include changes to Retrieve Essential Personnel and Destroy Command Bunkers missions, as well as operation modifiers.
- Weapons and combat: Weapon and enemy behavior were among the areas adjusted.
- Helldiver fixes: The patch addressed player-side issues, including a fix for PS5 save settings resetting after reboot. This is a fix recorded in the 2024 notes, not a statement about current platform availability.

What is the Helldivers 2 level cap now?
As of Arrowhead’s October 5, 2026 patch 7.0.0 notes, the level cap is 300. Patch 01.000.200 raised it to 150 in 2024; the later patch expanded it from 150 to 300 and added 15 ranks and titles. Arrowhead’s patch-note index lists newer updates, so the cap figure here is tied to the stated 7.0.0 notes rather than presented as a guarantee about any subsequent change.
