Its official coverage spans a launch overview and later releases, including updates 6.1.0 and 6.3.0. Those later notes detail new campaign systems, threats and mission content, alongside balance and quality-of-life changes; they do not establish a complete inventory of everything in the original 6.0 launch update.
What is Machinery of Oppression?
Arrowhead’s official materials frame Machinery of Oppression as an evolving campaign with multiple updates. The launch overview highlighted cyborg enemies, new locations, a tank and the Siege Breakers Warbond. Later notes add further content and changes, so those launch highlights should not be mistaken for the full contents of the series or a complete 6.0 patch list. PlayStation Access’ launch overview is a video description, while Arrowhead’s later 6.1.0 and 6.3.0 articles provide patch-specific detail.

Campaign systems in update 6.3.0
Galactic Campaigns and the Control Centre
Update 6.3.0 adds Galactic Campaigns and a Control Centre terminal opposite the armoury. The terminal gives players context about ongoing campaigns and their Major Orders. Arrowhead says a campaign may offer a reward if Helldivers win a majority of its Major Orders. The 6.3.0 notes also said an archive was planned for after the first campaign concluded; they describe that as a plan, not a feature already available at release. Arrowhead’s Machinery of Oppression: 6.3.0 notes describe the campaign additions as part of a broader tactical update.

New threats and mission content
Illuminate threats and Exostorms in 6.1.0
Arrowhead’s 6.1.0 overview introduces Illuminate Appropriators, Fleshmobs and Voteless, as well as Exostorms. It says destroying Exospires calms the storm, connecting an environmental hazard to an objective players can act on. The article also names the Entrenched Division Premium Warbond as a new set of tools for the mission. These details come from the 6.1.0 overview rather than the launch video. Read Arrowhead’s Machinery of Oppression: 6.1.0 overview.
Launch highlights
The PlayStation Access video description for the campaign’s February 10 launch calls out cyborg enemies, new locations, a tank and the Siege Breakers Warbond. Because that source is a launch overview rather than a full set of patch notes, it supports those highlights but not an exhaustive list of launch additions. See the PlayStation Access launch overview.

Balance changes in update 6.3.0
Vehicles, armor and sentries
Arrowhead says 6.3.0 adjusts vehicle armor values and increases armor penetration for some enemies. Its stated aim is for vehicles to ignore more small attacks and withstand medium attacks better. The same notes increase health for all sentries by 100%. These are patch mechanics described by Arrowhead, not independently measured performance results. The 6.3.0 notes cover these changes alongside other balance adjustments.
Exosuit availability
The Exosuit cooldown drops from 10 minutes to 8 minutes in 6.3.0, shortening the wait before it can be called again.

Reloading and other quality-of-life changes
The 6.3.0 reload changes address responsiveness and interruptions. Players can reload while dodge diving, and reload progress is retained after recovering from ragdolling. If a player is temporarily unable to reload, the game can delay the reload input by up to 1.2 seconds. Arrowhead also lists weapon and stratagem rebalances and fixes in the update, without those broad categories alone specifying every individual adjustment.
How to read the update coverage
| Release stage | What the official source establishes | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Launch overview | February 10 campaign start; cyborg enemies, new locations, a tank and the Siege Breakers Warbond, according to the PlayStation Access video description. | A set of launch highlights, not complete patch notes. |
| 6.1.0 | Illuminate Appropriators, Fleshmobs, Voteless, Exostorms, the Exospire interaction and the Entrenched Division Premium Warbond, per Arrowhead’s overview. | A later content overview within the series. |
| 6.3.0 | Galactic Campaigns and the Control Centre, plus vehicle armor, sentry health, reload, Exosuit cooldown, weapon and stratagem changes, and fixes, per Arrowhead’s notes. | A later release with campaign systems, balance and quality-of-life work. |
The official sources reviewed do not provide the complete original 6.0 launch-note inventory. Accordingly, the launch material above is best read as a summary of named highlights, while the 6.1.0 and 6.3.0 descriptions support more specific claims about those later releases.
