The Helldivers 2 holiday event mentioned in this headline was the 2025 Festival of Reckoning, and it has ended. From December 18 through December 31, 2025, holiday Major Orders gave players temporary access to a changing selection of stratagems—including some from Premium Warbonds. That access was not a permanent unlock, and the official sources cited here do not confirm a rerun.
What was the Helldivers 2 Festival of Reckoning?
Arrowhead Game Studios announced the Festival of Reckoning as a holiday event built around celebratory Major Orders. In its December 18, 2025 announcement, Arrowhead Social Media and Community Manager Katherine Baskin said the orders would grant “limited-time access to a host of stratagems.” She also stated that players could try stratagems from Premium Warbonds during the event.
The event ran from December 18 to December 31, 2025. The official announcement listed its start as 2 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. GMT, 11 a.m. CET and 7 p.m. JST on December 18. Its listed end was 14:59 PT, 22:59 GMT and 23:59 CET on December 31, which was 7:59 a.m. JST on January 1, 2026. These are the times published by the PlayStation Blog announcement; the local calendar date differed in Japan.
How did the temporary stratagem access work?
Access was tied to the active holiday Major Order, rather than being described as a permanent addition to a player’s arsenal. In-game dispatches told players which celebratory order was active and which stratagems were temporarily available. As orders changed, the available selection could change too.

The announcement did not publish a complete named rotation or a schedule for each stratagem. It therefore does not support a definitive list of which stratagem was available on each date. The offer was explicitly temporary; it should not be confused with permanently unlocking a stratagem or purchasing a Premium Warbond.
Can you still claim the free stratagems?
No. The event’s announced window ended on December 31, 2025 (January 1, 2026 in the listed JST time zone). The official sources cited here do not establish that the same temporary access or rewards were reissued afterward. PlayStation’s Helldivers 2 news archive lists later updates, but an archive listing alone does not confirm whether particular holiday content returned.

Buying or starting the game now does not grant access to a past, time-limited Major Order. For PS5, the original PlayStation notice states that gameplay requires internet access and a paid PlayStation Plus membership, sold separately. That notice is specific to PS5 and should not be read as a requirement for other platforms.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Was the Killzone Legendary Warbond part of the holiday offer?
No. The Killzone collaboration was separate paid content announced around the same time, not a requirement for participating in the Festival of Reckoning. Arrowhead’s Killzone Legendary Warbond announcement listed a price of 1,500 Super Credits for eligible players who needed to unlock it; some players who had previously purchased Killzone items were eligible to receive it at no extra cost. That price applied to the Warbond, not to the holiday event or its temporary access.
