An announcement reproduced in an IconEra forum repost described the Spore Charger as “shrouded in fog to obscure its location until it’s right up on you, Helldiver.” The same announcement named the Impaler and Terminid Alpha Commander as additions in the Escalation of Freedom update. Why the game version matters
Terminid spawn distribution and enemy balance have changed in official patches, so reports about enemy presence or behavior need to be tied to a particular version and announcement.
