The headline “Genshin Impact Voice Actor Could Be Back Sooner Than Expected” appears to refer to Erika Harlacher, the English voice actor for Venti. But the available reporting does not confirm that she has returned, give a return date, or explain what “sooner than expected” means.
What the reported return story says
Search-indexed coverage points to two reports from spring 2025. DBLTAP’s April 25 headline said Venti would be unvoiced in Genshin Impact version 5.6 and described Harlacher as confident about returning. GameRant’s headline, “Genshin Impact Voice Actor Could Be Back Sooner Than Expected,” was indexed with a May 3, 2025 publication date. The available record relays those headlines, not the full articles or the underlying statement, so it cannot establish the details behind them. Search-indexed coverage
What is—and is not—confirmed
- The likely subject is Erika Harlacher and Venti’s English voice performance.
- The indexed DBLTAP headline connects Venti’s English voice absence with version 5.6 and says Harlacher was confident about returning.
- There is no verified return date or confirmation here that Harlacher resumed the role. Her casting status as of October 8, 2026 is not established by the available reporting.
- The reason for the absence, any contract or union circumstances, and the meaning of “sooner than expected” are not established. Those explanations should not be inferred from the headlines.
Why fan discussion does not settle the question
A June 2025 Reddit discussion about Zach Aguilar returning to voice Aether includes questions about other English voice actors, including an informal question about Dainsleif’s voice actor. Those comments show that players were discussing casting updates; they are not official announcements and do not verify Harlacher’s status. June 2025 Reddit discussion
How to read future casting updates
To establish whether Harlacher has returned, look for a direct statement from the actor, an official game announcement, or accessible reporting that identifies its source. Check that an update names the character and voice-over language, and distinguishes a planned return from recorded or released dialogue. A headline or community comment alone does not confirm a change in the game.
