Arrowhead Game Studios and Guerrilla Games announced on December 19, 2024, that the planned second wave of Helldivers 2 x Killzone collaboration items would be granted to all players free of charge, in two waves. That offer applied to the second set—not the first wave, whose Superstore rotation was extended instead.
What was free in the December 2024 announcement?
The announcement said all Helldivers would receive six new items, including two weapons and one armor set. The gift was scheduled to roll out in two waves. Arrowhead and Guerrilla described it as a response to community feedback: players had shown strong interest in crossover content, while some objected to the prices and others were concerned about how briefly the Superstore items would be available. The same announcement extended the first wave’s Superstore rotation from five days to ten. It did not make those first-wave items free. The W.A.S.P. stratagem was also mentioned separately as a future Major Order unlock, not as part of the Killzone gift.
How the Killzone content returned in 2025
On December 11, 2025, Arrowhead Community Manager Mitchell Ayre announced that the crossover would return on December 18 as a Legendary Warbond priced at 1,500 Super Credits. The current offer is therefore different from the 2024 gift: it is a broader Warbond with ownership-based eligibility and regional limitations. Read the return announcement on PlayStation.Blog.
