In “60 Day Timeline – Progress Update,” published September 5, Arrowhead said it had made an initial balancing pass on “over 30 weapons and stratagems.” The announcement did not give separate totals for weapons and stratagems, so the claim that the update buffed 30 weapons and 11 stratagems is not supported by this source.

The team said the planned September 17 update would rework armor penetration, anti-tank weapons, and enemy armor and health values. It framed the goal as making the right tools more rewarding while keeping the game challenging.
Weapons Arrowhead specifically named
The announcement said the Autocannon, Heavy Machine Gun, and Anti-Materiel Rifle would become more effective, with the stated aim of improving loadout versatility. It also said further improvements to flamethrower weapons were in progress. Enemy changes in the plan
Arrowhead said it planned to adjust armor and health, with changes intended to make weapon choice and enemy matchups matter more.
- Hulks: The announcement said bot enemies including Hulks would have lower armor.
- Devastators and Gunships: It said rocket use by enemies such as these would be limited.
- Chargers, Impalers, and Bile Titans: The announcement said armor values for these particularly tough bugs would be reduced.

Arrowhead wrote: “As a key part of the rework we have done an initial balancing pass on over 30 weapons and stratagems.” It also said the update containing the changes was “scheduled to go live on September 17th.” That date was the schedule announced on September 5, not verification of deployment time or the final contents.
The announcement supports the broad scope, intended balance areas, and named examples above. It does not provide the exact number of stratagems changed, a complete list of weapon or stratagem changes, a final patch version, or comparative gameplay measurements. Accordingly, “buff everything” is best understood as informal shorthand, not Arrowhead’s precise description of the update.
