To make an Espresso Machine drink in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, combine Candlenut with the listed ingredient or ingredients. If the added ingredients do not match a recipe, the machine makes Candlenut Coffee. Recipe variants and collection entries
Some ingredient alternatives make the same drink but may register separately in the recipe collection. The documented alternatives are Cinna Bloom or Magma Bloom for Chai; either of those blooms paired with Chocolate Coin for Chocolate Chai; Strawberry or Sakura for Pink Latte; and Candy Cloud, Sugarkelp, or Swampmallow for Sweet Latte. If you are completing the collection, try each path rather than assuming one version unlocks every entry.
Why recipe totals differ
There is no single confirmed total that covers every version and event. The Arcader News guide, dated February 4, 2025, lists 19 permanent named recipe rows when variants are counted separately. A Hello Kitty Island Adventure Wiki search extract accessed in 2026 reports 23 Espresso Machine collection items and 24 items currently available, while also listing Rainbow Latte, which is not in the guide’s permanent-recipe table. These counts use different scopes and should not be treated as equivalent. The wiki extract notes that it was still incorporating Apple Arcade version 2.19.0 (September 16, 2026) and patch 2.19.1 (September 21), so consult the in-game collection for the latest total.

The guide identifies 50th Anniversary Frappe and 50th Anniversary Latte as limited-time recipes that use a limited-time ingredient, so they are separate from its permanent list. Rainbow Latte appears in the wiki collection extract, but its acquisition conditions and availability across platforms are not established. If one of these entries is missing, availability may depend on the event or game version rather than an undiscovered permanent combination.

The wiki search extract says the Espresso Machine in Hello Kitty Cafe becomes usable at Hangyodon friendship level 11 after the Espresso Machine Repair quest. During that quest, Hello Kitty gives the player Candlenut, Pumpkin, Cinna Bloom, and Toasted Almond to brew Kuromi a drink; those ingredients make Spicy Pumpkin Latte. This is an access note for the Cafe machine, not a complete walkthrough for every Espresso Machine location or upgrade.
