Carve Low Rank Ceratonoth in the Windward Plains to get Herbivore Shell. Look for their herds in Areas 8, 12, and 13. If you are already in High Rank, take a quest rated three stars or lower to find the Low Rank source. You can also check Kilama in Kunafa for a trade offer.

Search the Windward Plains, where Ceratonoth herds are reported in Areas 8, 12, and 13. Hunt or otherwise carve a Low Rank Ceratonoth for the shell; the cited item guides identify this monster and rank as the source.
How to get the Low Rank drop in High Rank
If you have progressed to High Rank, choose a quest rated three stars or lower to encounter the Low Rank source. GameWith’s guidance, updated September 30, 2026, recommends this approach for obtaining Herbivore Shell.
Trade with Kilama as an alternative
Visit Kilama in Kunafa and check the trade inventory. Game8 lists an offer of one Herbivore Shell for two Sandpepper, but the stock rotates daily in-game. If the offer is missing, check again after an in-game day or after resting. Confirm the current offer before spending Sandpepper.
