What is Heretic’s Fork?
Heretic’s Fork is a game about managing Hell as a satirical workplace: you choose a demon subordinate, defend the border between Hell and Earth, and punish escaping sinners. Its core mix is deck-building tower defense with bullet-heaven action—not a multiplayer game or a narrative choice game. How does the gameplay work?
Build power with cards
Deck-building is the progression layer: improve your strength through cards, with better performance bringing more cards. The game structures its shifts and departments around the circles of Hell, giving the management premise a framework for successive challenges.
Defend with towers
Place monstrous towers to prevent sinners from escaping. The towers deal Holy, Unholy, and Hellfire damage, so the defense side of the game combines placement with the systems represented by your deck.

Expect a genre blend
Steam categorizes the game under Action, Casual, Indie, and Strategy, and its user tags include Bullet Heaven, Deckbuilding, Tower Defense, Roguelike, and Strategy. Those labels suggest the most natural audience: players who enjoy combining a growing build with active, wave-focused defense.
Is Heretic’s Fork multiplayer?
No. Steam lists Heretic’s Fork as single-player, and Nintendo lists one player on one system for its Switch edition. The official listings cited here do not describe a multiplayer mode.
