Hernand strongbox key sequence
- Top row, first key.

These row-and-position labels avoid ambiguity in numbered key schemes. The same sequence is also represented as 1, 7, 6, 7, 3, 4, 3 by The Games Wiki. Game8’s Hernand strongbox guide and The Games Wiki’s guide agree on the solution.
How to play back the melody
- Turn the crank dial on the right side of the strongbox until the mechanism catches or slows.
- Release it and listen to the seven-note tune.
- Press the corresponding keys in sequence, using the row and position labels above.
PC Gamer reports that turning the crank again repeats the melody, which can help if you need another listen. PC Gamer’s guide describes this as a melody-copying puzzle.
Where to find the strongbox and what access requires
The strongbox is in a locked room on an upper floor of Hernand Castle. Game8 places it in a locked top-floor room; The Games Wiki describes reaching the locked door after climbing two flights of stairs.
