Mohamed Salah leads African Folder’s 2025 compilation of African players in EA Sports FC 25 with an overall rating of 89, followed by Victor Osimhen at 87. The requested “nine” is not a strict cutoff: six players share the next tier at 84, so this ranking includes everyone tied at that score. Ratings, clubs, positions and nationalities below are reported by African Folder’s FC 25 list; they are not independently verified against an archived EA database here.
FC 25’s highest-rated African players
The ranking uses the nationality labels in African Folder’s list as its inclusion basis. It is a reported compilation, not a definitive census of African identity or eligibility. Because the cutoff score is shared by six players, the complete list contains 11 names rather than an artificially tie-broken nine.

What the rating tiers show
Salah and Osimhen head the list
Salah is the sole 89-rated player in the compilation. Osimhen follows at 87. Those ratings place them above the two shared tiers, but an overall score alone does not establish that one is better in every in-game role or matchup.

Three players share 85
Mahrez, goalkeeper Nnadozie and striker Oshoala are all listed at 85. Their positions are different, so the shared overall number is not a direct position-adjusted comparison.
Six players share the 84 cutoff
Bounou, Chawinga, Guirassy, Hakimi, Koulibaly and Mané all appear at 84. Including the entire tie is why a title framed around nine cannot be treated as a unique top-nine count without an additional tie-break rule.

How to interpret these FC 25 ratings
EA’s player-ratings page describes its table as covering player items and says ordering is determined first by Overall rating, with further ordering influenced by subjective factors based on real-life performance. The live page now serves a later game edition, so it explains EA’s general ranking convention but does not verify the historic FC 25 scores above.
The list spans goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. Overall is a useful headline measure, but it is not a role-specific head-to-head assessment. A goalkeeper’s rating, for example, should not be read as a like-for-like comparison with a striker’s.

Source and edition caveat
African Folder’s article, titled “EA Sports FC 25: The 50 Best African Footballers 2024,” was last updated September 19, 2025, and supplies the FC 25 ratings, positions, clubs and nationality labels used here. Since EA’s live ratings page has rolled forward and the cited compilation is a secondary source, these figures should be understood as that source’s reported FC 25 list rather than a verified archived extract from EA.
