The Android Hitman game once described as “coming soon” is no longer upcoming. Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal launched on Android on November 30, 2023. It is a complete mobile adaptation of the 2006 stealth game Hitman: Blood Money, updated with modern interface features and input options. As of August 2026, you can download the opening mission free and unlock the rest of the campaign with a one-time in-app purchase.
That makes this a date-corrected explainer, not a preview of a future release: the game is available now, but it is an older Hitman adventure rather than the newer Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy.
When did the Android Hitman game release?
Feral Interactive announced Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal for Android and iOS on October 4, 2023, initially targeting autumn. Feral then confirmed a November 30 mobile release, and the game launched on that date.
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| October 4, 2023 | Feral announced Reprisal for Android and iOS, with Nintendo Switch also planned. Read the announcement. |

| June 5, 2025 | Feral introduced a free first-mission trial followed by a one-time full-game unlock. Read about the trial model. |
So the useful answer in 2026 is simple: Android players can play it now. The “soon” wording belonged to the original 2023 announcement.

What exactly is Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal?
Reprisal is Feral Interactive’s mobile adaptation of Hitman: Blood Money, the full stealth-action game originally released in 2006. You play Agent 47 across a complete campaign of assassination missions, using disguises, weapons, environmental accidents and careful planning to reach targets.
Feral describes the project as a comprehensive reworking rather than an untouched port. It preserves the large mission sandboxes and multiple approaches of Blood Money while adding interface and gameplay refinements intended for modern players.
Rank #2
- 3 Bonus Missions Pack which includes The Icon and A House Built on Sand missions, plus the brand new upcoming Landslide mission.
- Original Soundtrack featuring the original game score
- The ‘making of’ HITMAN documentary charting the journey from showing the game to our fans for the first time before E3 2015, through to the digital launch in 2016
- REQUIEM Blood Money Pack* which includes the signature Blood Money white suit, white rubber duck and chrome ICA pistol
“Full-fledged” needs a franchise-level qualification, however. This is not a mobile release of Hitman 3, Hitman: World of Assassination, or a new mainline game from IO Interactive. It is a modernized version of the older Blood Money. It is also not the turn-based puzzle game Hitman GO, the mission-based sniping spin-off Hitman Sniper, or a streamed console edition. Earlier coverage used “coming soon” while the game was still unannounced for release; that framing is now obsolete. The original contemporary coverage shows the context.
What was changed for mobile?
Minimap and Instinct Mode
The mobile version adds a new minimap and Instinct Mode, features associated with later Hitman interface conventions. They are designed to make navigation, awareness and target tracking clearer without replacing the series’ stealth and disguise systems.

Touch interface customization
The touchscreen layout is customizable. You can arrange virtual controls around movement, camera control, aiming and contextual actions instead of being locked to one layout. Comfort will vary by phone and player, so the free opening mission is a useful way to test the arrangement before paying for the campaign.
External input
Feral lists support for gamepads and for keyboard-and-mouse setups on compatible Android devices. A controller is an optional way to avoid virtual movement and camera controls; it is not a requirement. Keyboard and mouse support depends on the Android hardware, adapters and peripherals you connect.

- THE CLASSIC GETS THE ALLPLAY TREATMENT - Bid to exchange currencies with the market or your opponents' bids. You'll have to collect sets, make trades, and react to a changing economy to win big!
- THE MARKET CHANGES IN A FLASH - To win, you can’t stick to a plan. Pivot, find undervalued cards, and strike when the market is hot!
- CONSIDER YOUR BID'S VALUE - If you want the market’s cards, you might think you have to bid big. However, be careful of giving your opponents something too good!
- PICK YOUR BATTLES - Try to notice what your opponents are going for. It's likely that they can't have a strong position in all of the currencies; bid accordingly.
- SOMETIMES, BIDDING LOWEST IS BEST - If you have a good hand halfway through the game, it may be good to bid low amounts to maintain your position. You might get lucky as your opponents spend more!

How much does it cost?
The business model changed after launch. Feral’s November 2023 release announcement listed a one-time price of $14.99, £12.49 or €14.99. In June 2025, Feral changed the offer so the first mission could be played free, with the complete game unlocked through a single in-app purchase. That announcement listed $14.99, £9.99 and €12.49 as price signals for the full unlock.

Those are Feral’s published figures, not a guaranteed August 2026 checkout total. Google Play prices can vary by country, tax, promotion and later storefront changes. “Free” refers to the opening mission, not automatically to the entire campaign. Feral’s latest published model is a one-time unlock rather than a subscription or an energy-based free-to-play system.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Will your Android phone run it?
Do not assume that every Android phone or tablet can install and run this demanding 3D port. Feral maintains a device-specific support page with supported chipsets, verified devices, graphics settings, save information, peripheral guidance and troubleshooting: Feral’s Android support and FAQ page.
- Check your exact phone or tablet against Feral’s verified-device and chipset information before buying.
- Do not substitute a generic RAM or Android-version claim for Feral’s compatibility list; the available published information does not establish one universal requirement.
- Expect battery use and heat to matter more than they would in a simple 2D mobile game.
- On tablets and foldables, confirm that your model is supported and that the control layout suits its screen dimensions.
- A compatible controller can improve input comfort, but Feral’s support does not guarantee that every Bluetooth or USB controller works with every device.
What should you know about saves and changing devices?
Feral’s Android FAQ specifically addresses Google Drive saves and Google Play Saved Games, which means backup and restoration deserve attention before you replace a phone or uninstall the game. Local progress and cloud backup are separate questions: read the current instructions on the support page and verify what your device and game version report before relying on a transfer.
Buying the Android version also does not imply cross-platform ownership. An Android purchase should not be assumed to unlock an iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC or console copy.

It is a complete, modernized version of the older Blood Money, not World of Assassination. You can try its first mission free, check your device against Feral’s compatibility information, and buy the rest once you know the controls and performance work for you.
