What is Hitman Episode 2?
Episode 2 is the Sapienza mission in the 2016 Hitman game. IO Interactive’s announcement described it as a new story mission, with challenges, weapons and gear, the Italian suit, opportunities and disguises. It announced the episode for PS4 on April 26, 2016; that date is historical release context, not a statement about current availability.

In the current HITMAN World of Assassination presentation, Sapienza appears as one of the game’s locations. The earlier episodic release and the current World of Assassination framing describe different points in the game’s history.
What are the targets in Hitman Sapienza?
Agent 47’s mission objectives are to eliminate Silvio Caruso and Francesca De Santis, then destroy their scientific research. The announcement characterizes the assignment as stopping their work; it does not provide further scientific detail in the cited mission description.

Why Sapienza is more than a target compound
The setting is a sunny Italian coastal town, with daily life happening around the mission. IO Interactive’s 2016 announcement describes residents going to work, relaxing on the beach, fishing in the harbor, shopping, visiting San Giorgio church and watching street entertainers. That activity gives the location its lived-in character and frames the challenge of carrying out an assassination without drawing notice.
IO Interactive’s current game site calls Sapienza “the jewel of the Amalfi Coast” and highlights its sloping streets and attractions. This is the game’s fictionalized setting and promotional description, not evidence that Sapienza is a real town on the actual Amalfi Coast.

How the episode fits the game today
When Episode 2 launched, IO Interactive described Sapienza as a new installment in the episodic Hitman release. The current official site instead presents Sapienza among the locations in HITMAN World of Assassination. That establishes the location’s place in the current game presentation, but does not establish which current edition, platform or purchase option includes it. Check the live store listing for those details before buying.
