What the Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Pro update changes
The official PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro patch notes describe improvements to sharpness, dynamic-resolution targets, scene detail, and ray tracing. The mode comparisons below are stated against the base PS5.

The notes do not give frame-rate measurements, internal or output resolution figures, or benchmark comparisons. They describe intended changes, not a measured result that establishes a particular mode as best.
What the patch says about bug fixes
Warner Bros. Games says the update addressed and fixed over 150 bugs affecting the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. Its examples include collision that could block movement in the Hufflepuff bedroom, a chest spawning somewhere inaccessible before Charles Rookwood’s challenge, overlapping Fwoopers, floating water and geometry seams, an occasional crash after completing an Ancient Magic Hotspot, and mission or user-interface issues. These are examples from the notes, not a complete bug list.

What the developer said about the update
In a French-language PlayStation Blog post, Jose Villeta, Software Engineering Director at WB Games Avalanche Software, said: “Les performances améliorées nous ont permis de rehausser la qualité de nos modes Performance et Fidélité sans compromettre l’expérience de jeu.” The post frames the work around improved performance, PSSR resolution scaling, and new ray-tracing features.

The official update documented here is dated November 4, 2024, and identifies build 1282293. The available official notes do not establish whether Warner Bros. Games published another PS5- or PS5 Pro-specific optimization patch after it. Accordingly, this update should not be described as a newly released 2026 patch.
