Yes, a second Hogwarts Legacy installment is confirmed. Warner Bros. Discovery named it in its August 6, 2026 shareholder letter. Avalanche Software’s cited job listings describe multiplayer work, but neither connects that work to the sequel.
Is Hogwarts Legacy 2 confirmed?
Warner Bros. Discovery’s 2Q26 shareholder letter, dated August 6, 2026, says: “We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.” That is direct company confirmation that another installment is in the games pipeline.
The letter does not give the sequel’s formal title, release date, platforms, story, or gameplay details. It confirms a second installment, not when or how it will launch.
Do Avalanche’s job listings confirm the sequel?
No. The listings are relevant to speculation about Avalanche’s work, but the shareholder letter—not either job posting—is the source that confirms the sequel.

The separate Senior Designer listing mentions synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer design work and refers to the Hogwarts Legacy team. It does not assign the role to the sequel.

Will the Hogwarts Legacy sequel be multiplayer?
The cited listings do not establish that. One describes an unnamed online multiplayer RPG; the other requests multiplayer design experience while referring to the Hogwarts Legacy team. Neither says the sequel itself will have multiplayer features, so treating these postings as evidence of a multiplayer sequel would go beyond what they state.

Warner Bros. Games identifies Avalanche Software as the developer of the original Hogwarts Legacy. Its June 5, 2025 announcement covered the original game’s Nintendo Switch 2 edition; it was not a sequel announcement. Warner Bros. Discovery’s games careers page lists Avalanche Software in Salt Lake City, Utah.

For the sequel itself, the shareholder letter establishes only that a second installment is in the pipeline. It does not specify the developer, platforms, release timing, or creative direction.
