This guide collects location and access details where they are established, plus source-reported tactics for seven named encounters. It does not invent a complete boss roster or route order where those details are not established.
How many bosses are in Hollow Knight: Silksong?
Silksong.codes counted 43 unique bosses, or 47 encounters when repeat fights are included, in its 2026 guide. That is a third-party count, not an official Team Cherry statistic. The guide divides its list into three acts and includes both progression and optional encounters; the count alone does not establish a required boss order.
Silksong released on September 4, 2025, according to PC Gamer’s 2025 launch coverage. Boss mechanics can be version-sensitive, so treat the tactics below as reported guidance rather than verified frame-perfect instructions.

Widow

How to beat it: Watch for claw attacks that cross the floor and for the multi-hit attack. When marked lines appear, move out of those lanes to avoid the bell projectiles that follow.
