El juego que muchos conocen como Skate 4 se llama oficialmente skate. y está disponible gratis en Early Access desde el 16 de septiembre de 2025. Ya puedes descargarlo y jugar: no necesitas apuntarte a las antiguas pruebas Insider. El juego base es gratuito, aunque ofrece compras opcionales; para jugar hacen falta conexión permanente a internet y una cuenta EA.
¿Cómo se llama Skate 4 y qué tipo de juego es?
Electronic Arts lo publica con el nombre oficial skate., sin el número 4. EA aclara que “This isn’t a sequel, remake, or a remaster” en su FAQ oficial. El juego es un sandbox de skateboarding multijugador online ambientado en San Vansterdam.

EA lanzó skate. en Early Access el 16 de septiembre de 2025. Por tanto, no es un juego pendiente de lanzamiento ni una prueba a la que solo se accede tras registrarse.
¿Es gratis y qué necesitas para jugar?
El juego base es free-to-play. Hay compras opcionales de moneda virtual y objetos dentro del juego, así que “gratis” no significa que todo el contenido o las opciones de personalización estén incluidos sin coste. EA también indica que se requieren una conexión persistente a internet y una cuenta EA; puede hacer falta una cuenta de la plataforma. EA enumera estas plataformas para Early Access: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One y Xbox Series X|S. En consola, busca skate. en la tienda digital de tu plataforma. En PC, comprueba la disponibilidad en la página oficial de skate..
EA destaca el juego multiplataforma y la progresión cruzada. La disponibilidad de Android e iOS no queda confirmada por las fuentes oficiales consultadas, así que no conviene asumir que esas versiones ya se pueden descargar.

Requisito especial en PC: necesitas un mando
Para jugar en PC durante Early Access hace falta un mando compatible. El teclado y el ratón no son compatibles. En sus requisitos de PC, publicados el 12 de septiembre de 2025, EA menciona mandos DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox One y Xbox Series X|S, además de DualSense Edge y Xbox Elite V1/V2. Si ya tienes uno de esos mandos, puedes usarlo; no hace falta comprar equipo de skate para jugar.

Early Access significa que skate. sigue en desarrollo: puede tener errores y EA afirma que continuará trabajando en el juego a partir de los comentarios de la comunidad. La actualización de desarrollo de EA y Full Circle del 27 de agosto de 2025 explica ese enfoque. No lo trates como una versión final.

Las pruebas Insider pertenecían al periodo anterior al Early Access. La disponibilidad pública actual permite empezar a jugar sin inscribirse en aquellas pruebas; esto no confirma ni descarta que EA organice nuevas convocatorias de playtesting en el futuro.
