Holycube Revolution requires Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. Install the MLDEG pack through CurseForge, allocate at least 3 GB of memory (4–6 GB is the published recommendation), leave OptiFine out, and keep every client on the same pack release as the server. For multiplayer, use the separate Holycube Revolution-1.1.0_serverfiles release, run its included NeoForge setup, accept the Minecraft EULA, and then give friends the address supplied by your local or managed server.

What kind of modpack is Holycube Revolution?
MLDEG describes Holycube Revolution as a vanilla-friendly pack built around Create and quality-of-life improvements. Create automation is the main progression engine: you process resources, build mechanical systems, and extend those systems with Create add-ons. Storage, backpacks, waystones, mapping, building tools, inventory sorting, overlays, and recipe-interface helpers reduce routine friction without replacing the basic Minecraft experience.

There is no quest book. You will not receive a fixed sequence of objectives or rewards, so the pack suits players who prefer choosing their own projects. A typical playthrough might begin with basic Create machinery, continue into automated resource processing, and branch into transport networks, exploration, storage, or large construction projects.
Requirements before installing
Use the correct game and loader versions
The supported combination in the project listing is Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge. Selecting a different Minecraft version or loader in a launcher can produce a profile that looks similar but will not match the pack.

Allocate enough memory
Set the CurseForge profile to at least 3 GB of allocated RAM. The project’s published recommendation is 4–6 GB. Allocation is not the same as total installed memory: leave enough physical RAM for Windows or macOS, the launcher, background applications, and the server if you run one on the same computer.
- Start at 4 GB when your computer has enough physical memory.
- Use 5–6 GB if you encounter memory-related crashes while keeping other applications closed.
- Do not allocate more memory merely because it is available; excessive allocation can also make garbage-collection pauses longer.
- Close browsers, video editors, and other heavy programs during the first launch so you can distinguish a pack problem from system pressure.
Leave OptiFine out
OptiFine is explicitly marked incompatible with Holycube Revolution. Do not add it to the profile, even if you normally use it with other modpacks. If you have already added it, remove the OptiFine file and test the unmodified profile before changing anything else.
Install the client with CurseForge
- Install and open the CurseForge app.
- Open Browse or Discover, choose Minecraft, and switch to the modpacks view.
- Search for Holycube Revolution and select the project by MLDEG. Check the profile details before installing.
- Confirm that the profile shows Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
- Select Install and wait for CurseForge to download the pack and its dependencies.
- Open My Modpacks, select Holycube Revolution, and choose Play to launch it.
CurseForge can also hand an installation from its website to the app. Whichever route you use, the important checks are the project author, Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, and the exact release you intend to use with your server.
Match the client and server releases
Every player should install the same Holycube Revolution release as the server. “Same Minecraft version” is not enough: a different pack release can add, remove, or change mods and cause a missing-mod error, registry mismatch, or failed connection. Before anyone joins, write down the release number shown in the CurseForge profile and use that same release when downloading server files.

- Do not update one client independently after the server is working.
- If the server owner changes releases, have all players update before reconnecting.
- Keep world backups before changing pack versions; a newer release may alter mod data in ways that are not reversible.
Set up a dedicated server
1. Download the matching server files
Use the project’s separate server-files release named Holycube Revolution-1.1.0_serverfiles. Choose the artifact that corresponds to the client release and Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge profile. Do not build a server by copying only the client’s visible mods folder; the published server package is intended to provide the correct dedicated-server contents.
2. Create a clean server directory
Make a new folder for the server and unpack the archive into it. A clean directory makes it easier to identify generated configuration, world, log, and launch files and avoids conflicts with another Minecraft installation.
3. Run the included NeoForge setup and start process
Open the setup/start file included in the server package for your operating system. The exact filename can differ between package releases and platforms, so use the files supplied in the archive rather than substituting a launcher from another NeoForge version. Allow the setup to finish generating the required server files.
4. Accept the Minecraft EULA
On its first run, the server will stop or pause until the Minecraft EULA is accepted. Open the generated eula.txt, change the EULA value to true only if you agree to Mojang’s terms, save the file, and run the included start process again.

5. Confirm a clean startup
Wait for the console to report that the server has finished starting and is ready for commands. Stop it through the console, not by abruptly closing the window, before making configuration changes or copying a backup. The first successful start also creates the world and server configuration files.
6. Let friends connect
For a private local network, share the address appropriate to that network. For players outside your home, configure your router and firewall according to the server software and your internet provider, then share the public address and game port shown by your setup. A managed host supplies this connection information in its control panel. Everyone joining must still use the matching Holycube Revolution release, Minecraft 1.21.1, and NeoForge.

A self-hosted server gives you direct control over the files, console, world backups, and update timing, but you are responsible for networking, uptime, hardware, and recovery. A managed host can automate installation and keep the machine online, but you must verify that its installer supports the exact published server package rather than a similarly named or older build.

The profile launches the wrong Minecraft version
Return to the profile details and verify both values: Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge. Reinstall or create a fresh profile if the launcher has retained another version. The server and every client must use the same pair.

- Remove OptiFine and any manually added mods.
- Close other heavy applications.
- Check that allocated memory is at least 3 GB; the published recommendation is 4–6 GB.
- Launch the unmodified pack once before adding shaders, resource packs, or other customizations.
The server stops immediately
Check the console for the EULA requirement and complete the eula.txt step. If the server files came from a different Minecraft or NeoForge release, replace them with the matching published server-files package in a clean directory.
Players receive a missing-mod or incompatible-version message
Compare the exact pack release shown in each CurseForge profile with the release used by the server. Reinstalling the same release is safer than copying individual files between computers.

Automation causes lag after the world grows
Create machines can become more demanding as a base expands. First verify that the server has the recommended 4–6 GB allocation and that no other applications are consuming the machine’s memory. If you use a host, check its CPU allocation and location as well as its RAM; memory alone does not determine responsiveness.
What to do after your first launch
- Explore nearby terrain and establish a compact starting base.
- Learn the first Create components and automate a resource-processing task.
- Add storage and backpack capacity as your machine network grows.
- Set waystones and a map so distant builds and resource sites are easy to revisit.
- Choose a personal objective—factory automation, transportation, exploration, or construction—because the pack has no quest book directing your next step.
The result is a vanilla-plus experience: familiar survival rules remain intact while Create and its add-ons provide the deeper engineering layer.
The Bottom Line
Install Holycube Revolution as a CurseForge profile on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, allocate 3 GB at minimum or 4–6 GB as recommended, and keep OptiFine out. For multiplayer, deploy the matching Holycube Revolution-1.1.0_serverfiles package, accept the EULA, and require every player to use the identical pack release.
