Bring damage that covers the enemies’ weaknesses, break vulnerable targets during their setup windows, and keep a dependable healer or shielder in the team.
Where to find the fight and how to unlock it
Echo of War: Inner Beast’s Battlefield takes place on the Skysplitter in the Xianzhou Luofu. It becomes available after completing the Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue: Part II Trailblaze Continuance. The encounter includes the Shadow of Feixiao and the Ecliptic Inner Beast.

Build around breaking weaknesses
Plan for weakness coverage and toughness damage, not a single mandatory team. Siliconera recommends Quantum, Physical, and Fire damage for the encounter; some enemies in later phases also have Wind weakness. Check each target’s displayed weaknesses in battle and prioritize characters who can hit them reliably.

- Cover more than one target: The fight includes multiple enemies and parts, so area attacks or characters who can shift targets efficiently can help build toughness damage across the battlefield.
- Value Break utility: Weakness Break is not just extra damage here. It changes what the boss can do in each phase, making timing and target selection important.
- Keep sustain: Enhanced attacks can threaten the whole party. Reserve a slot for a healer or shielder reliable enough to recover from heavy hits.
Phase one: break Safeguard
In the first phase, the boss has Safeguard, which reduces damage it receives. Match its displayed weaknesses and focus enough attacks on its toughness bar to trigger Weakness Break. The break removes Safeguard, opening a more favorable damage window.
Avoid spreading attacks so widely that no target reaches a break. Concentrate on the boss with weakness-matched damage until the break occurs, then use the resulting opening to deal damage.

Phase two: stop the resonance sequence
In phase two, breaking the resonating part prevents the resonance sequence and advances all allies’ actions. That makes the part a high-value target when it is vulnerable: the break can both interrupt the sequence and give your team momentum.
Game8’s guide recommends breaking the Nebula Devourer first when preventing Outrage is the priority. Treat this as a tactical recommendation for that situation, not a universal rule; use the target’s displayed weaknesses and current threat to decide whether it should be your first focus. Phase three: break targets while the Inner Beast charges
During “Wreathed in Storm,” the Inner Beast charges “Sweep the Heavens, Swallow the Earth,” a large party-wide attack. Use the charging phase to break the Inner Beast’s parts. Weakness Break on these targets is the key response for reducing the threat of the incoming attack.
Do not wait until the charged attack lands to respond. Shift attacks to the vulnerable parts during the setup, and make sure the team is in a position to withstand damage if you cannot break them in time.

Team choices: prioritize coverage, Break, and survival
For the story fight, Beebom’s September 2024 guide says Feixiao is fixed in the lineup and recommends follow-up attackers that can make use of her ability, alongside multi-target sustain. Its example teams were Feixiao / Hunt March 7th / Robin / Aventurine and Feixiao / Moze / Bronya / Gallagher. These are dated examples, not current best-team rankings; choose replacements according to your roster and the encounter’s visible weaknesses.
When comparing your own options, consider whether the team covers several weaknesses, can break multiple targets quickly, brings useful multi-target or follow-up damage, and has sustain suited to enhanced attacks.
