Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5, “Before Their Deaths,” launched after maintenance that began on August 13, 2025, at 06:00 UTC+8 (August 12 at 22:00 UTC). HoYoverse estimated maintenance would take approximately five hours, so availability was expected near August 13 at 11:00 UTC+8 (03:00 UTC). Those dates are historical; a live countdown to Version 3.5 has expired.
When did Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5 release?
HoYoverse scheduled the update maintenance to begin on August 13, 2025, at 06:00 UTC+8. That is August 12, 2025, at 22:00 UTC. The update was titled “Before Their Deaths.” HoYoverse’s Version 3.5 update notice is the primary source for the announced schedule.
When was maintenance expected to end?
HoYoverse said, “The update will take approximately 5 hours.” Adding that estimate to the announced start time puts expected availability near August 13 at 11:00 UTC+8, or 03:00 UTC. This was an estimate, not a guaranteed server reopening time; the notice does not promise an exact unlock minute.
Why do release-date listings show different dates?
The maintenance start falls on different calendar dates depending on the time zone. In UTC, it was August 12 at 22:00; in UTC+8, it was August 13 at 06:00. Keep the time zone attached to the date when comparing schedules. A secondary Game8 maintenance schedule gives the same start and estimated end, but does not establish an exact global server reopening time.

Is there still a countdown timer?
No live countdown is useful for this release: Version 3.5’s August 2025 maintenance window has passed. The dates above are a historical schedule, not a countdown to a future update.
