Xueyi’s best build balances Break Effect with CRIT and enough Speed for your team’s plan. Her damage depends on reducing enemy Toughness: her Ultimate can do so even against enemies without Quantum weakness, and Toughness damage from Xueyi and her allies builds Karma for her follow-up attack. That makes her especially effective into Quantum-weak foes and with teammates who help break Toughness—not equally strong in every matchup. The recommendations below follow Prydwen’s guide, last updated May 31, 2026, with a major build and calculation update in Patch 4.0; rankings are guide-specific, not official HoYoverse recommendations.
How to build Xueyi
Xueyi is a four-star Quantum character on the Path of Destruction. Her Break Effect trace converts Break Effect into damage bonus up to a cap, so Break Effect helps her direct damage as well as Quantum Break damage. But piling it on at the expense of CRIT is not the goal: keep a useful CRIT balance, then tune Speed and Break Effect to your team and available relics.

If you cannot put together a strong four-piece set with good main stats and substats, Prydwen suggests combining two-piece bonuses instead. A theoretically higher-ranked set is not automatically better than relics with substantially stronger stats.
Which stats and Speed target should you aim for?
Prioritize useful Speed, then Break Effect, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and ATK% in substats. The practical order depends on what your relics already provide: do not chase Break Effect alone if doing so leaves Xueyi with poor CRIT balance or an awkward Speed setup.

Prydwen gives these endgame targets as guide benchmarks, not official thresholds:
- ATK: 2,000–2,400+.
- CRIT Rate: 60–70%+.
- CRIT DMG: 120–140%+.
- Break Effect: 100–150%.
- Speed: choose a target that fits the team: a target based on Xueyi’s base Speed when using hyperspeed Sparkle or Bronya, or 134, 143, or 160 Speed.
These figures are useful reference points for endgame gearing, not minimum requirements. Relic quality, support choices, and the enemies you face determine which balance is worthwhile.

Which Light Cone should you use?
There is no universally settled winner in the retrieved comparisons. Prydwen’s displayed calculation puts Indelible Promise (S5) at 102.12% and On the Fall of an Aeon (S5) at 100%. StarGuide’s result names Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest as its top choice, but the available evidence does not establish shared calculation assumptions that would make those rankings directly comparable.
Treat those as candidate options rather than a definitive cross-account ranking. Pick based on which Cone you own and the build you can support, including Xueyi’s CRIT, Break Effect, and team. The percentages above are Prydwen’s guide comparison, not a general damage guarantee or player-population statistic.

What teams and matchups suit Xueyi?
Xueyi benefits from allies who reduce enemy Toughness: their Toughness damage helps build Karma toward her multi-hit follow-up. Prydwen lists Tingyun, Fugue, Harmony Trailblazer, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle as synergies. Their value is not identical: supports can help enable Break-focused or CRIT-focused play styles, while the best fit depends on your roster.
Before settling on a team, weigh three things:
- Enemy matchup: Quantum weakness is particularly favorable. Her Ultimate can reduce Toughness without Quantum weakness, but that does not make her equally strong against all enemies; Prydwen notes that she loses damage when mismatched.
- Team Toughness damage: teammates who can contribute Toughness reduction help advance Karma.
- Your actual gear and supports: relic substats and an achievable Speed breakpoint can matter more than forcing a nominally top-ranked set or Cone.
The cited guides do not provide a controlled comparison covering every enemy, team, and account. Use the listed rankings as a starting point, then prioritize the matchup and gear you can actually field.

The current build and kit details here follow Prydwen’s Xueyi profile, which reports a May 31, 2026 update and a major build/calculation update in Patch 4.0. The separate StarGuide search result provides a differing Light Cone recommendation, but its full page details were not available for comparing methodology. An older HoYoLAB guide reflects Version 1.6 and describes equipment choices as subjective, so it is not used here as current ranking advice.
