Gameloft’s support page lists 1.8 GB for the installed game and 2.8 GB needed during installation. The larger figure accounts for the game and its downloaded file occupying space at the same time; Gameloft says the downloaded file is deleted after installation. These are general support figures, not a confirmed current Windows PC download size.
Installed size versus space needed to install
Gameloft’s size FAQ gives two different figures because they describe different stages:
- Installed game: 1.8 GB. This is the installed-size figure stated in the support answer.
- During installation: 2.8 GB. Gameloft says this space is needed for the installed game and downloaded file together.
Once installation is complete, Gameloft says the downloaded file is deleted. The 2.8 GB figure is therefore installation-space guidance, not a claim that the download remains as permanent extra storage.
Are these figures specific to the PC version?
The support answer does not identify the figures as specific to Windows or the current Microsoft Store release. Treat 1.8 GB and 2.8 GB as Gameloft’s general guidance, not as a verified current PC package size. The official Asphalt 8 page confirms the game identity but does not establish a current Windows download size.

If you need the exact size available to your PC right now, check the live Microsoft Store listing or Windows storage details for the installed game. Leave some additional free space for updates; the support page does not give a PC-specific total that includes extra content or future updates.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What about additional content?
Gameloft’s support guidance says downloading additional content requires more than 1.8 GB of free internal storage. The page does not specify a PC-specific combined total for the base game, installation, and additional content, so do not treat that threshold as a complete Windows storage requirement.
