Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is an online co-op MMO built around instanced group PvE and guild activities, with character power spread across several systems rather than adventurer level alone. You can run dungeon content such as Chaotic Realm and join guildmates for Guild Hunt bosses, while your long-term strength comes from talents, skills, Battle Imagines, equipment, emblems, modules and the Ability Score that summarizes much of that investment.
The exact live rules change with seasons and updates. The level-60 cap, activity requirements and other numbers quoted in older guides should therefore be treated as snapshots until you confirm them in the current client or official notices.

The clearest documented examples are Chaotic Realm, described in a PvE guide as dungeon content, and Guild Hunt, a cooperative guild mode in which members team up to fight bosses. Those examples establish two different social contexts: an instanced dungeon for a combat party and a guild-based boss activity that depends on cooperation with organized members.

Available documentation does not establish a universal party size, whether every dungeon has automatic matchmaking, cross-play behavior, or which story quests can be completed cooperatively. Do not assume that a feature common in another MMO works identically here; check the activity’s entry panel in your current version.
Chaotic Realm: instanced dungeon play
Chaotic Realm is presented as a dungeon system. A dungeon run normally asks you to assemble a combat-capable group, enter a contained map, defeat its encounters and collect progression rewards. The important player decision is not simply whether to queue, but whether your build meets the activity’s current access and performance expectations.
Before entering, inspect the dungeon window for its recommended or required Ability Score, role expectations, entry limits and listed rewards. Names, thresholds and reward tables can change with a season, so the in-game panel is more reliable than an undated guide or a screenshot.

Guild Hunt is described as a cooperative activity where guildmates fight bosses together. That makes guild membership strategically useful even if you mostly play solo: a guild can provide the organized group needed for a boss attempt, advice on builds and a regular source of teammates.
Because the available guide material does not state roster size, matchmaking rules or reset timing, treat those details as version-specific. Open the Guild Hunt schedule and boss information in your client before planning a weekly routine.

How to prepare for a group activity
Preparation is mostly a progression check. The game evaluates more than your character level, and a level-appropriate character can still be underpowered if talents, skills, equipment or other systems have been neglected.
- Read the activity panel. Confirm the current Ability Score gate, recommended power, entry conditions and reward list shown for that dungeon or boss.
- Check your equipped build. Verify that your intended skills are equipped and upgraded, your gear is current, and your Battle Imagines, emblems and modules are actually contributing to the setup you plan to use.
- Use the right social channel. Queue if the current activity offers matchmaking; otherwise form a premade group or coordinate through your guild. The available sources do not promise that every activity supports every grouping method.
- Plan for replacement attempts. A failed boss or dungeon run is part of progression. Identify which upgrade will raise your Ability Score or survivability before spending scarce materials at random.
This approach prevents a common mistake: treating a gate as a one-time level check. Ability Score is an aggregate of several investments, so improving one neglected category may unlock content faster than gaining another adventurer level.

Progression is a set of connected tracks
A beginner guide groups the following systems under the game’s broader Ability Score progression: adventurer level, talent points, equipped skill levels and advancement, Battle Imagine rarity and advancement, gear rarity and level, gear Perfection and refinement, emblem progression, and module Link Points. These systems overlap, but they are not interchangeable.

Ability Score: the practical readiness measure
Ability Score is described as an overall progression measure used to qualify for some PvE content. It is best understood as a summary of investment across your character rather than a separate combat skill tree. The score can reflect level, talents, skills, Battle Imagines, gear, emblems and modules, so two characters at the same level may have very different access or performance.
A beginner guide gives Goblin Nest matchmaking threshold of 1870 as an example. That number is version-sensitive and comes from a guide whose current revision was not established; do not use 1870 as a guaranteed live requirement. Read the current activity panel instead.

What to upgrade when your score is low
- Start with missing investments. An unadvanced skill, unequipped emblem or unused module slot can be a cheaper improvement than replacing a whole gear set.
- Then inspect gear level and rarity. Old items can hold back the score even when the rest of the build is developed.
- Improve high-value equipment. Perfection and refinement are most efficient on pieces you expect to keep.
- Review Battle Imagines. Raising rarity or advancement may help both your score and the effects your build relies on.
Activities such as trials, quests and dungeons are identified as sources of progression resources. Use them as a loop: complete the content you can enter, spend the resulting materials on the weakest contributing system, then recheck your Ability Score and available activities.

Adventurer level
The beginner guide reports an adventurer level cap of 60. That figure describes the guide’s snapshot, not a confirmed permanent cap for the current global version. Seasonal updates can raise or otherwise change the cap, so verify the maximum shown on your character screen or in current official patch notes.
Levels remain useful because they provide the baseline for unlocking and using systems, but stopping at the cap does not finish progression. Once level gains slow or stop, the other tracks become the main source of power.
Talent points
Talents let you specialize the character behind the level number. Spend points around the role you intend to perform in group content: damage, support or survivability. If the game allows respecialization in your current version, use it to test a focused setup; if it does not, read each node carefully before committing scarce points.
Skill levels and advancement
Equipped skills have their own levels and advancement. Prioritize the abilities that define your rotation or provide essential group utility, rather than distributing every material evenly across the full list. A dungeon build that has high character level but underdeveloped core skills can underperform despite meeting a nominal entry gate.

Battle Imagines, emblems and modules
Battle Imagines
Battle Imagines are a power-collection layer with rarity and advancement. Their value is not limited to a single numeric score: the effects and combinations they enable can influence how a build plays. Compare a higher-rarity replacement with the advancement already invested in your current Imagine before switching.
Emblems
Emblems form another progression track counted by the beginner guide. Keep them in the same planning sheet or notes as gear and skills so you can see which upgrade gives the largest practical improvement. An emblem upgrade that raises Ability Score but weakens your build’s useful effects may not be the best immediate choice.
Modules and Link Points
Modules contribute through Link Points. Check how the modules are arranged and which links are active rather than assuming that the highest individual module value produces the strongest result. Link-based systems reward a complete configuration, so a small rearrangement can be meaningful even without a new drop.

Gear progression has at least two distinct stages. First, you obtain equipment with appropriate rarity and item level. Then you improve promising pieces through Perfection and refinement. Treat those stages differently: basic replacement keeps your set current, while enhancement materials should usually go to items you expect to retain.

Reforge stones and Perfection
A gear-upgrade guide says Reforge stones increase equipment Perfection. It reports that the stones can come from multiple modes, including dungeons. The same guide says older equipment can be dismantled to recover most of the Reforge stones invested in it, which reduces the risk of improving an item that you later replace.

“Most” does not mean every stone is guaranteed back, and the guide does not establish that recovery rates or costs remain unchanged. Check the dismantling confirmation window before committing materials.
Using the Artisan Guild
The guide identifies Maxim, an NPC in the Artisan Guild, as the point for gear-upgrade interactions. Visit Maxim when you need to inspect available equipment improvements, Perfection options or refinement actions. UI names and upgrade costs can move with patches, so follow the current menu labels rather than relying on a memorized route.
The gear guide is marked “Last updated: 15/01/2026.” That date makes it a useful recent reference, but it still does not guarantee that every cost, tier or material rule is unchanged in your client.
How seasons change the progression loop
Season-linked systems are not cosmetic overlays. A season guide describes seasons as affecting the overworld, endgame dungeons, power systems and battle-pass rewards. The Steam listing also refers to seasonal maps and dungeons alongside updates to existing systems.
That means a progression plan has a permanent layer and a seasonal layer. Levels, talents and the general need for stronger gear are part of the continuing character journey; specific maps, dungeon names, reward tracks, power mechanics and battle-pass items may be tied to one season.
What to verify at a season change
- The active season name and its end date.
- Whether a new map or dungeon has replaced, joined or modified existing activities.
- Any change to the global level cap or Ability Score gates.
- Which rewards come from the battle pass and whether they are one-time or recurring.
- Whether equipment, modules or other power systems have been rebalanced.
Steam Community announcements have surfaced progression-system updates, reinforcing that older guides can age quickly. Use the current in-game notices and official announcements when a season launches before spending a large stockpile of materials.
A practical progression roadmap
- Finish the early level path. Follow quests and accessible activities until the core talent, skill, Imagine, gear, emblem and module systems are available.
- Equip a coherent build. Select skills and talents for the role you will perform in group content, then advance those core skills first.
- Replace clearly outdated gear. Raise item level and rarity through current drops before investing heavily in refinement.
- Build the Ability Score floor. Fill neglected systems and arrange modules for Link Points so you qualify for the next activity without relying on a single oversized upgrade.
- Run trials, quests and dungeons. Convert their materials into the weakest part of your build, checking each activity’s current access rules.
- Refine durable equipment. Spend Reforge stones on gear you expect to keep, and use Maxim’s Artisan Guild menus to review available improvements.
- Join guild progression. Participate in Guild Hunt when your guild schedules boss attempts, using the shared activity to earn rewards and learn group tactics.
- Reassess with every season. Recheck caps, gates, activities, rewards and power systems before assuming that last season’s route remains optimal.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Chasing level alone: level is only one contributor to Ability Score. Upgrade the neglected systems listed in your character details.
- Treating an old gate as permanent: guide values such as the 1870 Goblin Nest example can change. Trust the current activity panel.
- Perfecting disposable gear: improve likely long-term pieces first and read the dismantling recovery details before spending.
- Assuming every mode is matchmade: the available documentation confirms cooperation, not a universal matchmaking policy. Check the entry screen or organize a premade group.
- Ignoring guild play: Guild Hunt is specifically described as a guildmate boss activity, so a suitable guild can be part of the intended progression route.
- Following a seasonal checklist forever: maps, dungeons, power systems and rewards can change. Rebuild your checklist when the season changes.
What remains version-dependent
The broad model is clear: Star Resonance combines online co-op MMO activities with multi-track character development. Several operational details are not established by the available guides, including current party sizes, cross-play, the exact matchmaking rules for each activity, the live global level cap, present Ability Score gates, current dungeon availability and precise gear-upgrade costs.

This is especially important after a seasonal update, when a guide’s names, thresholds or reward assumptions may no longer match the live game.
