Check the library or purchase history for the account and store that supplied the game. Use Library or Purchased to find and reinstall a title; use Purchase History, Order History, or Transactions to confirm the acquisition. There is no single download history that combines every console and PC store.
Start with the account and store that handled the game
A game’s record is tied to the account and storefront that processed the purchase or download. If you bought it on a console, its record may be in that console’s store rather than a separate PC-store account. First identify where you acquired the game and which account was signed in.
Choose the record based on what you need:
- To reinstall: check the store’s Library or Purchased list.
- To confirm ownership or investigate a missing title: check purchase, order, or transaction history.
Find games on PlayStation
Locate a game to download again
PlayStation Support directs players to the Game Library for games purchased from PlayStation Store. In the library, open the Purchased view to locate eligible titles and start a download. See PlayStation’s guide to finding and downloading games.
Check a missing purchase
If a purchased game or add-on does not appear, check the account’s transaction history. PlayStation Support specifically advises checking transaction history when a purchased game or add-on cannot be found. Its transaction-history guidance explains where to investigate the record.

Find games on Nintendo Switch
Check the Nintendo Account that made the purchase
Use the Nintendo Account that acquired the game to find its purchase record or redownload it. Nintendo’s Americas support explains how to view eShop purchase history and notes that a parent account’s history does not include purchases made on a child account. See Nintendo’s guide to viewing Nintendo eShop purchase history.
Account for region and redownload availability
Nintendo’s Japanese support instructions say redownloads require the purchasing Nintendo Account and may be unavailable if distribution of the game has ended. Those are regional support details, so check the Nintendo support page for your country before relying on its menu steps or availability rules. The Japanese page also says, “過去2年分のみ確認できます” (“Only the past two years can be checked”) for its web usage record; this is a Japan-specific lookback, not a global Nintendo or general download-history rule. See Nintendo Support Japan’s redownload instructions.

Find purchases in Epic Games Store
Epic says the full purchase history is in the Accounts section of the Epic account. Check it for transactions processed by Epic Games Store. Purchases made through PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, or Samsung Galaxy Store are managed by those platforms and do not appear in Epic Games Transaction History. Use the account history for the store that handled the purchase. See Epic’s purchase-history instructions.
Find games on Steam
For a missing Steam game, check the logged-in account’s Library and look for the purchase in Steam purchase history. If the purchase is complete but the game is not visible, Steam recommends logging out and back in. Follow Steam’s guidance for games missing from the Library; the available guidance does not establish a more specific current menu path.

Check the Microsoft or Xbox account’s order history and the relevant storefront’s library or account purchase records. For other PC stores, use that store’s own library and purchase records. Exact current click-by-click instructions are not established here, so consult the storefront’s official help for the current labels and steps.

If a game is missing from the history or library
- Confirm the account. Check the account currently signed in, including any other personal or family account that may have made the purchase.
- Confirm the store. Look in the platform that processed the purchase. A console-store transaction will not necessarily appear in a separate PC-store history.
- Check both records. Use the library or Purchased list to locate a download, and transaction or purchase history to confirm the acquisition.
- Check regional or account-specific limits. Family-account records can be separate, and a store may no longer offer a redownload if distribution has ended.
- Use the platform’s official support. If the transaction appears but the game does not, follow that platform’s troubleshooting guidance; Steam, for example, recommends signing out and back in.
