Ubisoft calls these recovery codes. You receive them when you activate 2-Step Verification, and each code can be used once if your usual verification method is unavailable. If you still have account access but lost the codes, Ubisoft says to temporarily turn off 2-Step Verification and turn it on again to receive a new set. If you cannot access your account settings and have no unused code, contact Ubisoft Support.
First, check where you saved your recovery codes
Look in the secure place where you stored the codes during 2-Step Verification setup, such as a local file or password manager. Ubisoft recommends keeping them safe and describes them as single-use codes. Its mobile-authenticator setup guidance says activation provides six recovery codes; that is a setup detail, and Ubisoft’s surfaced page does not show when it was last updated. Ubisoft’s recovery-code guidance and 2-Step Verification setup instructions explain their purpose and storage.
Can you still access Ubisoft Account Management?
Yes: replace the lost set from Security settings
- Sign in to Ubisoft Account Management.
- Open the Security page and locate 2-Step Verification.
- Temporarily disable 2-Step Verification, then enable it again to receive new recovery codes.
- Save the new codes somewhere private and secure, such as local storage or a password manager.
Ubisoft describes this disable-and-re-enable approach for users who have lost their codes. It is a replacement path for people who can reach account settings; the guidance does not say that codes can be regenerated from outside the account.
No: contact Ubisoft Support if you have no usable code
If you cannot reach Security settings and have neither an unused recovery code nor your usual authenticator, contact Ubisoft Support. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege FAQ, published 27 November 2018, answers the question about losing both methods with: “You will need to get in touch with our Support team.” The FAQ directs users to Support; it does not promise that Support can bypass verification or guarantee account recovery.

If the problem is access to your account email
- Confirm that you can sign in to the email address associated with the Ubisoft account.
- Check spam, junk, and promotions folders for Ubisoft messages.
- If available, try signing in to Account Management with a platform account linked to Ubisoft.
- If those options do not resolve the email-access problem, follow Ubisoft’s account recovery directions.
Keep the replacement codes private
Do not post recovery codes publicly or send them to someone claiming to be support. Ubisoft advises against sharing account credentials and recommends checking login history and the security of the email account linked to Ubisoft. Store any replacement codes privately so they are available if your normal verification method is unavailable.
