From Dirtmouth, drop through the well into Forgotten Crossroads, then follow the main path to the large chamber with a gate. The False Knight encounter begins there, near the centre of the area.
Route from Dirtmouth
- Start in Dirtmouth. Drop down the well to enter Forgotten Crossroads. The Forgotten Crossroads area guide identifies the well as the entrance from Dirtmouth.
- Follow the main path through Forgotten Crossroads. Continue toward the large chamber with a gate; the encounter starts when you reach it. This route is described in Hold To Reset’s False Knight walkthrough.
How to confirm you are in the right place
The False Knight is in the centre of Forgotten Crossroads. If you have the area map, use that central location as a cross-check; the large gated chamber is the immediate landmark.
Which False Knight?
This route is for the early-game False Knight boss in Hollow Knight, not the later False Champion encounter. The False Knight entry distinguishes the boss and places it in Forgotten Crossroads.
