People advertise Fortnite accounts on third-party sites, but Epic prohibits selling, giving away, trading, or sharing an Epic Games account. Epic says buying, selling, or sharing accounts will result in an account ban, so a listing is not an authorized or safe way to transfer an account.
Where do Fortnite account listings appear?
Accounts may be advertised on third-party websites. A February 25, 2026, Windows Central report described an advertisement linking to a site that listed Fortnite accounts alongside accounts for other games. That is one reported example; it does not show how common listings are or establish that any marketplace, seller, or transaction is reliable.

A listing or advertisement also does not mean Epic approves the sale. Epic’s Terms of Service say users may only use their own Epic Games account registered to them and may not sell, give away, trade, or use someone else’s account, even with that person’s permission. Epic’s Account Support page confirms that buying, selling, or sharing is against the Terms of Service.
Why selling or buying one can cost you the account
Epic’s Account Security guidance states that buying, selling, and sharing accounts will result in an account ban. Epic’s Community Rules, updated February 26, 2026, say enforcement may range up to a permanent ban. A permanent ban may mean losing rights to games, virtual items, account balances, or other items.

A buyer or seller may be asked to provide account credentials or sign in through an external site. Epic warns users not to trust suspicious offers asking for login information and says never to log into external sites with Epic credentials. Sharing credentials can expose the account and its associated information, independently of the risk of an Epic ban.
