During the Prologue Kraken fight, stay clear of the large ink pool around Kraken and the ink jets it sprays across the arena. Favor ranged attacks and Infernal Demons when they let you keep your distance. These are the hazards behind the “Avoid Kraken’s Ink” Bewitchment.
What to avoid during the Kraken fight
The Prologue encounter has two ink hazards to watch for, as described in Nintendo Life’s Bayonetta 3 walkthrough:

How to keep attacking while avoiding ink
Use ranged combat and Infernal Demons as much as possible when doing so helps you attack without closing in on the hazards. The walkthrough recommends these approaches, but does not specify a guaranteed weapon, route, timing window, or input for earning the Bewitchment.
Which objective is this?
“Avoid Kraken’s Ink” is a Prologue Bewitchment. It is separate from the objective to attack Kraken’s anchor tentacles with Gomorrah, so focus on staying clear of the ink hazards for this task.

Does the game update change this objective?
Nintendo’s version 1.2.0 update notes list a Kraken-related fix for the interaction between Black Pearl Rain and Wink Slave. The notes do not say that the ink-avoidance objective changed. Version 1.2.0 was released on January 10, 2023.
