First identify which Berdly fight you are in: Cyber Field, Cyber City on the standard route, or Cyber City on the Snowgrave route. Their ACT options and outcomes differ. In standard-route Cyber City, build MERCY with Play Smart, Play Dumb, and Noelle’s N-Action. In Snowgrave Cyber City, use Glare to build MERCY only if you want to spare Berdly and end that route; use Noelle’s SnowGrave to continue it.
Choose the strategy for your encounter

The Cyber Field Bump options are not the Cyber City ACTs. Check the location and route before acting; the encounter reference is community-maintained rather than an official mechanics guide.
How to beat Berdly in Cyber Field
Build MERCY with BumpX
For an ACT-focused approach, use BumpX six times, or use it five times and add two Bump ACTs. These are alternative sequences described for this encounter, not universal instructions for the other Berdly fights.
Use Pacify after he becomes Tired
Berdly becomes Tired at or below half HP. Reduce his HP to that point, then have Ralsei use Pacify. This is a nonlethal option after attacks have lowered his HP; it is distinct from the BumpX MERCY approach.

How to beat Berdly in standard-route Cyber City
Build MERCY with the available ACTs
Use Play Smart, Play Dumb, and Noelle’s N-Action to increase MERCY. Keep choosing those ACTs until the encounter ends. You can also defeat Berdly with attacks, but choose that only if you want the attack-based outcome rather than to spare him through MERCY.
Deal with the summoned Werewires
If Berdly summons two Werewires, Noelle’s Sleep Mist can spare them instantly. This is a separate way to resolve those enemies; it does not replace the MERCY-building plan for Berdly.

How to handle the Snowgrave Cyber City fight
Decide whether to spare Berdly
Glare increases MERCY and lowers Berdly’s defense, according to the encounter reference. Repeated Glare can spare him, but doing so cancels the Snowgrave route. Treat that as a route choice, not as the standard-route strategy.
Continue the route with SnowGrave
If your goal is to continue Snowgrave, use Noelle’s SnowGrave rather than building enough MERCY to spare Berdly. The reference identifies SnowGrave as the decisive action for that outcome.

What to do during Berdly’s turns
DELTARUNE describes its combat as bullet-dodging battles on its official game page. The encounter reference names patterns including Tornado, Chirashi, and Spear Blast variants, with differences between fights and routes. Focus on dodging each projectile sequence, then use your turn for the ACT, attack, or route-specific spell that matches your intended outcome. There is no single attack order that applies to every Berdly encounter.

The official DELTARUNE FAQ, updated June 24, 2026, says the game has one ending. That does not erase the immediate route consequence described for this fight: sparing Berdly in Snowgrave cancels that route. The available sources do not establish additional later effects, so do not assume more than that consequence.
