The Ranch Simulator Wiki lists packs of 10 for $100 and 50 for $500; check your build’s blueprint first so you know how many to buy.
Where to get metal plates
Visit the Hardware Store and buy the metal plates listed among its construction materials. The Ranch Simulator Wiki identifies the store as the only current source and says metal plates cannot currently be made. It does not list mining, smelting, or salvaging as alternative ways to obtain them. These item details come from a community-maintained wiki, not confirmation in official patch notes. Choose a pack based on your blueprint
The wiki lists these in-game pack sizes and prices:
| Pack | In-game price |
|---|---|
| 10 metal plates | $100 |
| 50 metal plates | $500 |
These are game prices reported by the community wiki and may change in a later update. Check the construction blueprint for the required quantity before buying. For example, the wiki’s meat-preserving-bin entry lists 18 metal plates and marks them as non-craftable. Ranch Simulator Wiki: Preserving Bin

If the store or recipe looks different
Steam’s official news page surfaced a hotfix dated 1 September 2026 (Build 1.36), but the available official update information does not address metal acquisition. If your in-game inventory or blueprint differs from the wiki, use the current shop and blueprint as your guide. Ranch Simulator on Steam: News Ranch Simulator on Steam
