The only documented Echdeath summon recipe is for an old version of Fargo’s Mods, and the wiki explicitly warns it no longer applies to the current mod. Historically, players used Pandora’s Box while six specific conditions were met; treat the steps below as reference, not a confirmed recipe for your installed build.
What the legacy Echdeath summon required
According to the Fargo’s Mods Wiki historical Echdeath page, Echdeath did not spawn naturally. In that version, using Pandora’s Box summoned the boss only if every condition below was true at the same time:

- Stand in front of an Ech Painting and unsafe Lihzahrd Brick Walls.
- Stand on Luminite Bricks.
- Hold the up and down keys together, without holding left or right.
- Have a Solar Eclipse active.
- Have a Full Moon.
- Have a Dungeon Guardian alive.
The same page labels itself historical and says: “This page describes old mod content that was removed or replaced. The information here does not apply to the current version of the mod.” That warning means the list is not reliable current-version instructions.
Why you may not find Echdeath in a current boss list
Echdeath belongs to Fargo’s Terraria mod content, and the documented boss page concerns removed or replaced content. The entry says Echdeath was available only with the Fargo’s Souls Mod DLC installed, but installing that addon does not establish that the old summon works in a present-day build.

Fargo’s Souls and Fargo’s Mutant are distinct mods, and the project’s mod and addon versions can change. The Fargo’s Mods Wiki overview provides project and version context, but the sources do not verify a current Echdeath summon method. If Echdeath is absent or the legacy conditions do nothing, check the exact Fargo mod/addon and version you have before trying further instructions.
Read this before attempting the old summon
The historical entry describes Echdeath as a secret joke boss intended to be effectively impossible to defeat and unnecessary for progression. It also reports that contact kills the player and can leave them in a ghost state until they exit the world. Those consequences are from the legacy page, so they should be understood as historical encounter details—not a guarantee of how a current build behaves.

Not a Minecraft summon command
Echdeath is associated with Fargo’s Terraria mods, not Minecraft’s built-in /summon command. If you are looking for an entity command in Minecraft, this is a different topic.
