Alliance characters can access most of Silvermoon in the Midnight-era game, but Blizzard’s current official guides do not specify an Alliance route into the city. They do confirm that Silvermoon’s Transit Nexus has portals to Stormwind and Orgrimmar; those are outbound destinations from Silvermoon, not proof of a portal from Stormwind to Silvermoon.
Can Alliance characters enter Silvermoon?
Yes. Blizzard describes Silvermoon as a hub for both factions: approximately two-thirds of the city is accessible to both Alliance and Horde characters, while approximately one-third is reserved for the Horde. The split is an approximate description of city access, not a travel-time or quest-completion statistic. Blizzard’s Silvermoon City guide, published February 13, 2026, explains the layout.
What route into Silvermoon is confirmed for Alliance?
The official information available here does not establish a step-by-step route for an Alliance character to reach Silvermoon. In particular, Blizzard’s guide identifies the Transit Nexus inside Silvermoon and lists portals there to Stormwind and Orgrimmar. That confirms travel from the city to those destinations; it does not confirm a Stormwind-to-Silvermoon portal or describe how Alliance players arrive in Silvermoon in the first place.
If you need directions for your character, check the current in-game campaign and available travel options for your character’s progression. Avoid treating the Midnight starting-quest location as an inbound route: Blizzard says the journey begins by picking up a starting quest in Silvermoon City, but does not explain how an Alliance character gets there beforehand. The March 3, 2026 launch announcement gives that campaign context.

What can Alliance players do in Silvermoon?
Silvermoon’s shared areas make the city relevant to both factions in Midnight. Blizzard’s overview says the Alliance is invited to aid in defending the Sunwell, while some parts of the city remain Horde-exclusive. Blizzard’s April 7, 2026 overview describes that faction context.
Getting around after arrival
Once in the city, Blizzard lists three ways to navigate: fly on your own mount, take a carriage, or use orbs of translocation to move between levels. These are ways to get around Silvermoon, not directions for reaching it from elsewhere.

Using the Transit Nexus
The Transit Nexus, also called the Portal Room in Blizzard’s city guide, is the city’s portal hub. The guide lists portals to Stormwind and Orgrimmar there. Treat those as destinations available from the Nexus; the guide does not state that either capital offers a portal back to Silvermoon.
