GamesBeat’s feature names Italy and India in its headline, but does not identify songs or detail campaigns for either country; the evidence supports a broader account of localization, not a country-by-country track guide.
What regional customization meant
GamesBeat reported that Ubisoft adjusted some Just Dance releases for different markets through distinct setlists or a small number of exclusive tracks from local artists. The idea was not simply to translate menus: local music and partnerships could make a release feel more relevant to players in a particular market.
The report also describes regional media partnerships and artist alignment as promotional tools. Stromae was cited as an example of an artist helping Ubisoft promote the series in a region. GamesBeat additionally named past collaborations with French pop singer Tal, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and Swiss-German singer Stephanie Heinzmann. It discussed concerts and flash mobs as part of regional rollouts, without measuring how well any one tactic performed.
What the article does—and does not—say about Italy and India
Despite the headline’s focus on Italy and India, the accessible feature does not provide a country-specific song list, identify which local artists appeared in either market, or describe particular campaigns there. It would therefore be inaccurate to assign any of the named artists, tracks or events specifically to Italy or India based on this report.

The supported takeaway is narrower: Ubisoft described a strategy that could combine local tracks, artists and promotion with the franchise’s broader release. The feature does not establish which elements were used in each named country.
How Ubisoft made the routines
The production account in GamesBeat’s October 2015 report starts with casting and costume design, alongside development of the setlist. The ensemble was around 15 dancers per game, according to the report. Ubisoft staff reviewed choreography for core and regional tracks, and routines were later shown to people outside the company before filming.

Ubisoft Paris filmed routines in two-day increments every two weeks. Marine de la Seigliere, then a Ubisoft brand director, said the team could shoot around four stages or numbers a day, depending on costume complexity and effects demands. These are production details reported in the 2015 feature, not independent measurements or statistics about a market.
De la Seigliere described the work as bespoke: “We produce everything from nothing,” she said, adding, “We want … something unique, nothing you can buy online or in a store.”

Why Ubisoft said it needed to think regionally
De la Seigliere said, “We have markets where dancing is a big part of their culture.” She also framed localization as a response to a more connected audience: “The world has made us more reactive, we can’t think of one game anymore. Everyone can dance, so we need to be open to every gamer.”
Ubisoft associate creative director Veronique Halbrey described the wider design goal as “removing any barriers to dance,” whether related to “device or even the living room.” Together, the comments place regional music within a larger effort to make the series accessible to different players and settings.
