Game8’s guide, updated January 9, 2026, reports that Scarabs respawn 48 hours after collection in real time. GameWith describes the same wait as 48 hours, or two server-time resets. The guides agree, but HoYoverse’s official materials reviewed do not state a Scarab respawn interval, so treat 48 hours as a guide-reported timer rather than an official developer specification.
What are Scarabs used for?
Scarab is a Sumeru Desert local specialty used to ascend Cyno, according to Game8’s Scarab guide. HoYoverse’s Version 3.1 update notes, posted September 28, 2022, also list Scarab among the game’s new animals.
