A first-time player should budget about 6–7 hours for each of Leon’s and Claire’s first stories in Resident Evil 2 (2019), or about 15 hours to finish both. Do later runs take less time?

How does an S-rank run compare?
GameSpot reported that earning an S rank requires finishing a particular character’s story in under four hours. Treat that as the article’s stated threshold; it does not establish a more detailed scenario-by-scenario time limit. GameSpot
Are speedrun times a realistic estimate?
No. Guinness World Records lists a 50-minute, 38-second completion for Claire A on Standard difficulty, played on PC at 120fps by 7rayD on March 25, 2019. Its listed Leon record is 53 minutes, 25 seconds, set on March 19, 2019. These are dated competitive records, not ordinary first-playthrough expectations. Guinness World Records
