There is no single number of days: the time depends on how many points your own Microsoft Rewards account credits each day. Estimate it by dividing 1,000 by your average daily points and rounding up. At a sustained pace of 50 points a day, for example, the arithmetic works out to 20 days; that pace is an illustration, not a Microsoft-published rate.

Estimate how many days you will need

Use your recent credited earnings, rather than assuming that every account has the same daily rate:

#	Product	Price
1	$100 XBOX Gift Card [Digital Code]	$100.00	Buy on Amazon
2	$10 XBOX Gift Card [Digital Code]	$10.00	Buy on Amazon
3	$25 XBOX Gift Card [Digital Code]	$25.00	Buy on Amazon
4	$50 XBOX Gift Card [Digital Code]	$50.00	Buy on Amazon
5	$20 XBOX Gift Card [Digital Code]	$20.00	Buy on Amazon

Estimated days = 1,000 ÷ your average points earned per day

Round a fractional result up to the next whole day. If your account has recently earned an average of 40 points per day, the estimate is 25 days. That 40-point figure is only an example. If your earnings fluctuate, average several representative days, then check that the dashboard credits the activities you complete.

Microsoft’s support pages do not publish a global daily point rate or an official average time to reach 1,000 points. Your Rewards dashboard is the practical reference for the activities and opportunities available to your account and region. Microsoft’s earning guide notes that daily limits and terms vary by country and region.

What affects your daily points?

Search limits depend on your Rewards level

Microsoft says Level 1 members can earn points for up to 10 Bing searches per day, while Level 2 members can earn points for up to 30. These are limits on qualifying searches—not promised point totals. The guidance does not establish one worldwide number of points per search, so the search caps alone cannot tell you how many days you will need. See Microsoft’s overview of Rewards for the level-specific limits.

Other activities vary by account and region

Depending on availability, Microsoft lists possible earning routes such as daily quizzes or trivia, Windows taskbar searches, Microsoft Store purchases, selected Xbox games or quests, and some mobile activities. The dashboard shows which opportunities are currently available to you. Limits and terms apply, and some routes are not offered everywhere. A purchase or particular device is not required by the general guidance as a condition for reaching 1,000 points.

Credits may not appear as expected

A full search counter, using a different signed-in account, unsynchronized browser data, Give Mode, automated searches, or earning outside your current market can affect whether points appear. Confirm the account and region shown in Rewards and check the dashboard’s credited activity before using a lower-than-expected total to forecast your timeline.

Search in a way that stays within the rules

Microsoft advises spreading searches throughout the day. Rapid back-to-back searches, spam-like queries, bots, and macros can trigger earning limits or account consequences. Microsoft’s search-limit guidance explains the restrictions; do not use automated methods to try to reach the target faster.

What 1,000 points are worth

Points do not have cash value. Microsoft gives an approximate comparison of about 5,000 points for a reward worth $5, but this is not a guaranteed conversion rate for every reward or region. Redemption choices and catalogs vary; check Microsoft’s redemption guide and your Rewards page for current options. Microsoft also says points expire after 12 months without earning activity.
