In Burning Crusade Classic, Arena points are awarded once a week—not after each match. To qualify for that week’s payout, your team must play at least 10 matches and you must personally play in at least 30% of them. The award arrives at the weekly reset, though Blizzard does not specify one universal local reset time for every realm.
When do Arena points arrive?
Blizzard says Arena points are awarded “At the end of the week,” using your team’s rating to determine the amount. In practice, expect the payout at the weekly reset rather than immediately after a match. The precise reset clock depends on your realm and region; check the schedule for yours.

Blizzard’s requirements do not say those matches have to be wins. Team rating determines the points awarded; the cited system guidance does not provide a complete payout formula or guarantee a fixed amount. Arena-point balance is capped at 5,000.

Does the timing change at the end of a season?
Season rewards can be distributed when the next season starts at a weekly reset, rather than on the ordinary cadence of a match reward. For the 2026 Burning Crusade Anniversary Edition schedule, Blizzard announced that Season 1 rewards would be distributed when Season 2 began on May 20, and Season 2 rewards when Season 3 began on September 2. Those dates apply to that announced schedule, not every TBC release or future season.

Arena points are not Honor
Arena points are a separate in-game currency used for Arena gear; Honor is another currency. Do not expect Arena points as an immediate reward for finishing a match.
