Check the campaign details for the timing that applies to a specific reward: Twitch handles earning and claiming on its platform, but the game developer or promotional partner handles in-game delivery.
What happens between earning a Drop and receiving it?
There are three separate steps: meet the campaign requirement, claim the reward through Twitch, then wait for it to be delivered to the game. Earning progress does not necessarily mean the Drop has been claimed, and a completed Twitch claim does not mean the item will appear in-game immediately.

- Earn: Complete the viewing or other requirement listed for the campaign.
- Claim: Open Twitch Drops Inventory and claim the reward when it is ready.
- Receive: The game developer or promotional partner fulfills the claimed reward in the game.
Twitch’s Drops help guidance says most rewards arrive within 24–48 hours after claiming, but campaign-specific details take precedence. That range is general guidance, not a measured average or a guarantee for every game.
What should you check if a claimed Drop is missing?
- Verify the claim status. In Twitch Drops Inventory, check whether the reward says “Claimed.” If it says “Ready to Claim,” claim it there first.
- Check the linked account. Make sure Twitch is connected to the game account you actually use, including the correct platform or region if the game separates accounts that way.
- Look in the right place in-game. Check the mailbox, inventory, cosmetics, or rewards menu. Some games require a separate in-game step to collect a reward.
- Allow time for delivery. If the Drop is claimed and still missing after 48 hours, contact the game’s developer or promotional partner about fulfillment. Twitch’s guidance is that “Once you’ve claimed on Twitch, delivery is the game developer’s responsibility.”
For a delivery inquiry, include your Twitch username, game account name, the Drop’s name, and a screenshot showing the Twitch claim. Contact Twitch instead if the problem is with earning progress or claiming the reward on Twitch. The Twitch Drops help page explains this division of responsibility.

How long do you have to claim a Drop or link your account?
These campaign deadlines are separate from the time it takes a claimed Drop to arrive. Twitch says an unclaimed Drop remains available in Drops Inventory for up to seven days after the campaign ends. It also says most developers will fulfill a reward if you link the relevant account within 14 days after the campaign ends. Limited-use rewards, such as those tied to a beta event, may have different restrictions. Check the campaign’s own terms for applicable limits.
For code-based rewards, consult Twitch’s official Drops guidance and the campaign details; a general delivery estimate cannot establish the rules for a particular game or event.
