It depends on how you earned or received the Robux. Roblox does not publish one general wait time for pending earnings: Experience Pass sale proceeds and Limited item resale proceeds stay pending until their holding period ends, but Roblox does not state a universal release date for either. Check the transaction in My Transactions for its current status.
How long pending Robux takes, by source
| Robux source | What Roblox says happens | Published wait time |
|---|---|---|
| Experience Pass sale | Sale earnings remain in escrow until the holding period ends. | Roblox does not state a duration on its Experience Passes support page. |
| Limited or Limited U resale | Proceeds appear as Pending and move to your balance when the holding period ends. | Roblox does not give a universal payout timeline. Its separate statement that a purchased item may be held for up to 30 days before it can be resold concerns the item’s resale eligibility, not a general pending-Robux wait. See How to sell items. |
| Robux transfer | An accepted transfer is added instantly. Some transfers can remain pending until age requirements are met. | If the requirements are not met within seven days, Roblox says the transfer is canceled and returned. See Roblox’s transfer guidance. |
| Purchase not yet delivered | During an outage or maintenance, a completed purchase is usually applied within an hour. | Roblox says it can take at most 24 hours in those service-issue cases. This is purchase-delivery guidance, not an earnings escrow schedule. See General Website Issues. |
How to check a pending transaction
- Open Roblox and go to My Transactions.
- Review the transaction history and select the relevant category, such as Sales of Goods or Group Payouts.
- Check the specific entry’s status. Roblox’s transaction-history help page explains where to find transaction history and filter categories.
The entry can help you distinguish sale proceeds waiting in escrow from a transfer awaiting acceptance or eligibility, or a purchase that has not yet been applied. It does not provide a guaranteed release date where Roblox has not published one.
Pending earnings, transfers, and purchases are different
Sale earnings
For an Experience Pass sale, Roblox calls the pending state “escrow”: earnings wait until the holding period is over. The support page does not say how many days or hours that takes. Limited-item resale proceeds also wait through a holding period, but the separate “up to 30 days” detail applies to how long a purchased Limited item may be held before it can be resold—not a promised payout period for pending proceeds.
Transfers
A transfer that has been accepted is added instantly according to Roblox. If a transfer is still pending, check whether it is waiting on age requirements; Roblox says an unfulfilled requirement within seven days results in cancellation and return of the transfer.

Purchases during service issues
If you paid for Robux and the completed purchase has not appeared during an outage or maintenance, Roblox’s guidance says it is usually applied within an hour and no later than 24 hours. That timing is specific to delayed purchase delivery during service problems; it should not be used to estimate how long sale earnings remain pending.

What to do if the balance still has not changed
- Check the exact transaction in My Transactions rather than assuming every pending balance follows the same schedule.
- For a transfer, verify that it was accepted and whether any age requirement remains incomplete.
- For a purchase during an outage or maintenance, use Roblox’s purchase-delivery guidance; it is separate from sales escrow.
- Do not use third-party “pending Robux fix” offers or buy Robux through unofficial arrangements. Roblox warns that unofficial Robux or experience deals can be scams and says there is no official method to buy or sell experiences. See Can I buy or sell experiences?
